POMPANO BEACH ( WSVN) Broward County Fire Dept. is on the scene at a house of filth.
Neighbors were complaining about the stench coming from the home, saying that it ruined their 4th of July Celebration.
This happening at 160 NW 44 Street in Pompano Beach.
Fire officials are saying that in some parts of the house the amount of feces on the floor was one foot deep, and they had to back out for a while because of the strong smell.
That's when Hazmat crews in special suits arrived at the home help clean it up.
The young man is often in and out of his home, because he also cares for an elderly woman. He only comes home to feed his animals, and has been doing that less and less.
They are also saying that he has 7 cats, 2 birds, and 2 dogs.
They are also saying that there are a lot of stray animals roaming around the home.
