I remember emotions used to run deep at the lunch table over this debate.

Nintendo owners said Nintendo was better . Those poor bastards that were forced to play Sega becuase their parents wouldn't buy them a Nintendo said Sega was better.

Between the two Nintendo is STILL better than that red piece of garbage!

"Damn I'm Smooth."

yeah, i liked Nintendo more. i have 2 brothers, so between us we seemed to own every game system. Nintendo was mine so that may be why i liked it more...i would love to play RC Pro Am right now.

You can download a Nintendo Emulator and download some games, although it's hard to play on the keyboard. RC Pro Am was a good game, but my fave was always All Star Baseball.

I am a lifelong Nintendo guy. The worst was when Sega brought out the Genesis system. Now, I'm not knocking it, it was a good system, but all the lameoid Sega owners now had something decent to hang their hats on. Remember the ads, "Genesis does what Nintendon't." Such was the pressure, that I was forced to go and get a TurboGrafx 16. Whooo, that was a mistake. A few years later, Nintendo released the SNES and once again all was right with the world.

My brother made the mistake of buying a Sega, so thats what i gamed on till the 64. It had some goods games-The Sonic games were great and the Tecmo Sports games were good. A year ago i went to FuncoLand a picked up a SNES and I'd have to say its the greatest system ever. LttP, SMW, SMW2, Super Metroid- its all good. Long live Nintendo!

Atari was the fucking shit. I also had Nintendo and that was cool. I liked Genesis more than SNES. I think I'm done with all those makers though, Sony is #1.

I still have my portable
turbografx 16 with all the
cards, like bonk's adventure
and all that.

That thing was way ahead
of its time. In an era when
people thought game boy
was cool, and the COLOR
sega handheld was cooler,
this was a 16 bit color
handheld with a TV TUNER.
Jeez!!

if were talking beyond Nintendo/Sega...i really liked Intelevision...i was awesome at Tron Deadly Disc.

Also liked Colecovison(sp?).......not sure of the name of the game, but the system had a baseball game where you had to use this special controller...it looked really cool. it was something you would grip with your whole hand which would have a shield in front of it. the parts you gripped where different color buttons and they chose your pitch. the top of the controller was a big knob control with a bunch of numbers up top like a phone. anyone else remember that game?

The original Nintendo could possibly be the best video game system ever, remember the track and feild game that you played on the Power Pad, that was the shit

I'm gonna keep this simple:
SNES & Genesis had
some nicee hard-core
competition, but Donkey
Kong Country was the end
of the war. Genesis could
do nothing to answer to
Rare/Nintendo's DKC.
SNES lived on for a solid 3
years after DKC, and
Genesis basically faded
into obscurity. I loved
SNES, I was a SNES
owner, and I think it's the
best system ever, but that's
just me. As far as today,
obviously the competition is
over. Sega makes games
for all 3 systems, and has
released great Sonic
games, including the ones
from Genesis on NIntendo
systems. In 1994, who
would've guessed that day
would come?

My dad never wanted to get us nintendo during the whole craze. So he hooked up our old Atari 2600 to shut us up. I didnt get a modern game system until I got Genesis as a Christmas gift from a family friend.

but my fave was always All Star Baseball
I think I played that game till it melted in the machine. By the time I gave up on the Nintendo system, I think I had purchased a team of Super Free Agents and created the '78 Yankees. Unfortunately, I think you had 5 letters or so to names them with, so their names were mangled.
But before that was Coleco's Baseball game that you had to get totally new controllers for. It looked like the handle and fingerguard on a sword with a toggle and a full 12-digit key pad on top. My brother and I used to play the hell out of that game. Using the toggle, you could move your pitches in ways that defied Physics.

...silent, but violent.

Well, I think Sega had the better graphics of the 2, but Nintendo kicked ass in variety. The only problem was getting it to work. I don't see how their parents would not be willing to buy a Nintendo because from what I remember Nintendo was always less expensive than Sega.
