What can anyone tell me about DJ Kool Herc and K-Day?

After going back and watching the Rage Against The Machine video for "Renegades of Funk" there are some quick clips of DJ Kool Herc and K-Day, which looks like it was a breakdancing crew. If I am wrong on any of these accounts let me know. I did some searching online and couldn't find much. I am hoping to find video/audio of each of these sometime but has anyone on the board here evr heard or seen either of these two. Kool Herc from what I have read appears to be one of the first DJ's in the early 70's and I just want to know more. Always searching for info, here I am. Fill me in.
