Let me brake it down for ya. Metroid Prime, The Legend of Zelda. I've only played Metroid Prime for about 5 hours and I can already call it one of the GREATEST games ever made. I think it tops Vice City ( yes i have it) as the game of the year. Zelda will be nothing but perfection and they're sure be another Mario or Zelda on the system. Nintendo is and always be the best.....botttom line.

It depends, are you looking for quality of visuals or games. If you want the visuals the easy winner is Xbox. If you want great games its the PS2. If you want the kiddy stuff, as well as the classics (zelda,metroid,mario) then you sir (are crazy) need gamecube.

That may be one of the fucking dumbest things I've ever heard in my life. I won't go into the issue of Gamecube being the home for great games (also called kiddy games), I'd just like to point out how wrong of a statement that was. You sound like someone who would play vice city because its bad, because it has porn and guns and not for the game. And if Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine, and The Legend of Zelda are kiddy games, well then.....I ALWAYS WANNA BE A KID BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT MY LIFE WOULD BE LIKE WITHOUT THOSE GAMES! Yeah, it's tough though. You have to choose between Halo and GTA. I still choose Halo. I haven't played Vice City yet but I haven't played Halo 2 either.

I have GameCube and PS2. I have more Games for my GameCube and that's my system of choice. If you want all the great games coming out this holiday season that are X Box exclusive like Blinx the Timesweeper and uh. . .nothing else, go with the X Box.

Otherwise, GameCube is your best bet.

Kingdom Hearts does kick much ass, though.

X Box will go the way of Web TV.

I did a lot of research on this since my GF wanted a game system for her b-day and last time I played video games was on an Atari. I polled Board members, kids, and serious adult junkies. The overwhelming choice was PS2. They said it had the largest variety of games, could play PS1 games, and had a built in DVD player (not necessarily the only one that has this.)

Now my GF won't stop playing Grand Theft Auto Vice City and LOTR Two Towers. I long for the days of Pac Man, Asteroids, Space Invaders and even Pong. At least I understood these games. I tried to play the PS2 but it's like I've been using Gutenberg movable type all my life and now I've been given a Power Mac G4. I'll stick with my books.

combine that with Metroid:Prime (the best game ive played since FFX) and game cube is looking better and better.

yeah, gamecube has kiddie stuff like Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, that XXX BMX game, Metroid, Mortal Kombat etc, while PS2 has these incredible mature games like Kingdom Hearts...

I'm sorry, I have to defend Nintendo here, they've been in an uphill battle against the corporate giants. I do appreciate my PS2 though, I use it as a dvd player most of the time...

actually you're both wrong! there is a FF game coming out on the cube, however FF will NOT be exclusive to the cube. this can be proven by FFX2 coming out on PS2.

as far as best system, i'd have to say PS2, and the cube running a close second. Xbox has such little games and they are all novelty. the cube is making some great innovations in the genres and PS2 continues to rip out great games.

I dont see what the big deal about XBox is. I've played a bunch of its games and didnt see anything great about any of them. Halo is cool and all, but thats it.

Plus, the controller is entirely too big for my hands.
