ANyone at the OTHER ONES (Grateful Dead reunion) show at the COntinental Arena (NJ) last night?

Just like the old days- the entire place was a cloud of beutiful smelling Kind nugs. The event security didnt stop anyone from puffing the sweet herb. This is unlike any other recent shows I have attended at this venue. They usually bust your balls for smoking a damn cigarette.

There was a pretty strict search upon entering the arena (checking cig packs, etc) but the cops in the parking lot were way cool. There was a vendor area set up for glass pipes, clothing, food, etc and there were plenty of shrooms being sold (I personally didnt buy due to high prices/short counts)but also saw MDMA and some LSD going around. There were a couple of 'heads' with a N2o tank dispensing balloons and the cops didnt kick em out either.

POINT OF THIS POST: I MUST GIVE PROPS TO THE SECURITY and police presence at this event. good job.

THE SHOW WAS GREAT BY THE WAY. THey played from 7:40 until 11:30. cant beat that. IM just glad I brought my own shrooms cuz I woulda overpaid in the lot.

yeah i was there, it was a great show except for the encore i was a little dissappointed just cause the show was amazing, and encored with a weak song...still good but just weak. Strawberry Fields Forever was great..Rob did a great job on vocals for that song, and Susan throughout the whole show was great.

About the search thing inside I didnt even get patted down at all the just said go ahead it was great, they didnt check my cig pack or my altoid pack at all it was so cool.

Like the Dead? Check out Dark Star Orchestra. They are playing in NYC two nights... I think Nov. 28, 29. They will rock your world... trust me... they sound EXACTLY LIKE THE DEAD. Incredible...

my personal opinion of DSO is that they are terrible...if you have seen the Dead like I have, DSO is nothing compared to them, and they do terrible instrumentals of the songs, and there are much better cover bands of the Dead then DSO...also no point in seeing DSO because The Other Ones are around, and also Phil and Friends always tour as well as Ratdog.

I was very happy with the show- unfortunately I left at about 11:15 so I missed the encore. I love 'Touch of grey' but I guess that is kind of a weak way to end an amazing show.

I got a pair of tickets for that show for only 26 bucks (plus 15 for shipping)on ebay-that was defintly the way to go for this show. I saw lots of pairs that nobody even bid on. What a shame.

Im looking for Garden tix now. I think I pass on that Orchestra thing though.
