Fantastic esemble cast; the late great Phil Hartman, Dave Foley, Andy Dick when he was still loaded with drugs and therefore funny. The reruns are shown everyday on A&E and I never miss it.

That show is in my top five for favorite sitcoms of all time. I watch it everyday on A&E and my local Fox station.

It's nice to see some of the people move on to other shows now. Joe's doing well on Fear Factor, Catherine is on CSI Miami and Lisa is great on ER.

Maura Tierney is from Boston. :)

Stephen Root is the greatest. His turns as Milton in "Office Space" and as the blind DJ in "O Brother Where Art Thou?" ruled.

I even loved it when Lovitz came on. Of course, that was mostly because the last season had Puddy from "Seinfeld" as the evil Johnny Johnson, king of the winos.

Lovitz was only his replacement in the loosest sense of the word. It was a totally different kind of character, and I thought he was hilarious. He wasn't supposed to be another Bill sort of character. That would just have been stupid, and anyone expecting that would just be even stupider. Lovitz rules. Him playing Satan on SNL is still one of the funniest things known to man.

Phil Hartman was the best!!! I had a Phil Hartman website that I started about a month before he died. He was the greatest without a doubt. Newsradio really ran out of gas after the death of Phil. I liked when they weren't sure whether the show would be back the next season, so they just went all-out for the season finales. The Space Station and Titanic episodes rocked!!!

Lovitz is funny. Case in point the Wedding Singer. The funniest part of that movie is his 2 minute appearance. He stepped into a bad situation, Hartman and him were buddies.

Can we not turn this into a Jon Lovitz bashing thread? What he had to do on 'Talk Radio' was tough. Phil Hartman was a beloved performer and a true comic genius, but Lovitz is great in his own right. One need only watch a few episodes of 'The Critic' to see that. As far as 'Talk Radio' goes, it's a very funny show, the cast worked well together, and it's a shame it ended.

I gotta disagree. Hartman was just incredible. Ferrall has his moments but not as many as Hartman.

I loved Hartman, but everyone talks like he carried "Newsradio". Let's give proper credit here, as this was truly an ensemble show, something that's far too rare in the last decade or so on network television.

Mojo, without a doubt it was an ensemble effort. You will not find a bigger Phil Hartman fan on EARTH than myself, but he was and always has been the prototypical team player. He is hysterical and makes those around him funny at the same time. The show would not have ever worked had you cast anyone else on it. Just look what happened when they had the guy who played Jimmy James's nephew and the efficiency expert who fired Matthew (and is now on the Gilmore Girls).

Best episode, without a doubt was when Mr. James' book was rereleased in the US after being translated from Japanese.
Jimmy James: Macho Business Donkey Wrestler

I think the Dave/Jimmy James dynamic was better than the Bill/Matthew.
