I'm 35 and I still feel this way. (Don't worry about me, I get by plenty well!!) I stick to myself at work and feel awkward when the "gals" talk about going to lunch in front of me and don't invite me (I, personally, PREFER it!).

well i wasnt a GEEK or NERD..i was a social outcast...I REALLY JUST STARTED TO GO OUT ADN DO STUFF THIS YR..IM 21...i was shy ..i always was in the art room doin my sculptures or whatever....i was field hockey manager my junior and senior yr..i didnt work in HS..i would go hom eand take care of my grandmother who lived with us..my fri and sat nights consisted of drawing, TV, and my dog....i mean i was envious that i wasnt at the parties that the cops busted up...BUT my dogs were cool.....and i got my HW done...no boys ever looked at me in any other way then JUST LISA...so i never had a bf until THIS YR, i never benn kissed until THIS YR, i never made out with anyone until THIS YR, and i never fell into a DRUNKEN STUPOR until THIS YR..lol....THIS YR IS A WEIRD YR...ill never forget my 21st yr on earth

I am very shy when i am out with people- i think people think i am snobby BUT its just cuz im shy...im the one who stands in the corner or just sits and listens until i get comfy in a group

was (I had multicolored

an artist, had no friends in
my school, never went to

not much has changed all
these yrs later- still wear

I wore braces all four years of highschool, had thick, frizzy,curly hair,had no social skills whatsoever and hung out in the band room even though I never played an instrument. Eventually learned to blend into the background and now would like to think I appear pretty average and unremarkable in any way. Still kind of feel like an outsider in the office or at any non family social function and even when I do feel like I fit in there's always this fear it'll be like the last scene in Invasion of th Body Snatchers when the girl finds Donald Sutherland but he's a pod person too and he screams and now everyone knows she was just faking and that she's not really a pod person.
