Someone posted something in the other room about ESP -- which I do notbelieve in -- but what about Deja Vu. Is there anyone who has ever had a strong sense of deja vu? I know I have ...

As you know me, I always wish a topic was about somthing else... I wish this topic was about the NES game Deja Vu. That was sucha cool game, but it wasnt that popular

(Edit): Sorry to get off topic though

I thought is was about the bar. Deja Vu was a major meat market down here in DC. It is now a Marriott hotel.

Thank you Ron and Fez for finally being live in DC again.
Philly is the next market for the boys. Wake up WYSP...

Sometimes i feel like i can predict stuff when something i dream of seems to come back to me when it actually happens, it is very odd.

Deja vu is just experiencing a memory triggered by smell, look, feel, taste, etc, and associating the old memory with the new place.

I think Deja Vu happens to you when you have a dream and what happens in the dream later happens in real life.

Totally. It's happened a few times for me, but I think it comes from my dreams, then happens in real life. It's cool.

So, would deja vu be a defense mechanism of the subconscious memory, thus providing some degree of familiarity during new experiences, or is it a way the mind tries to connect similar circumstances based upon patterns, kind of like a reality wavelength?
