OK I searched and searched and couldn't find a thread about it, so I ask the members of the board. . .
What is your favorite December Holiday song?
Traditional or not, it doesn't matter.
Currently my favorite is
Twiztid - A very Twiztid Christmas
The song is a gem, its done to Snoop Dogg's Gin and Juice, buts about Christmas. Honestly who could beat a chorus that goes
Sittin' by the tree
sippin eggnog
waitin on christmas gifts
EGGNOG!
With my mind on my presents
And my presents on my mind

Run D.M.C. - Christmas In Hollis
[Run]
It was December 24th on Hollis Ave in the dark
When I see a man chilling with his dog in the park
I approached very slowly with my heart full of fear
Looked at his dog oh my God an ill reindeer
But then I was illin because the man had a beard
And a bag full of goodies 12 o'clock had neared
So I turned my head a second and the man had gone
But he left his driver's wallet smack dead on the lawn
I picket the wallet up then I took a pause
Took out the license and it cold said "Santa Claus"
A million dollars in it, cold hundreds of G's
Enough to buy a boat and matching car with ease
But I'd never steal from Santa, cause that ain't right
So I'm going home to mail it back to him that night
But when I got home I bugged, cause under the tree
Was a letter from Santa and all the dough was for me
[D.M.C.]
It's Christmas time in Hollis Queens
Mom's cooking chicken and collard greens
Rice and stuffing, macaroni and cheese
And Santa put gifts under Christmas trees
Decorate the house with lights at night
Snow's on the ground, snow white so bright
In the fireplace is the yule log
Beneath the mistle toe as we drink egg nog
The rhymes you hear are the rhymes of Darryl's
But each and every year we bust Chrsitmas carrols
(Christmas melodies)
[Run-D.M.C.]
Rhymes so loud and prod you hear it
It's Christmas time and we got the spirit
Jack Frost chillin, the ?orchas out?
And that's what Christmas is all about
The time is now, the place is here
And the whole wide world is filled with cheer
[D.M.C.]
My name's D.M.C. with the mic in my hand
And I'm chilling and coolin just like a snowman
So open your eyes, lend us an ear
We want to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" as done by the Pretenders. It's a gorgeous song, and Chrissie Hynde does an amazing job on it.

I'm not into the Religious aspect of it, but I just got done learing Silent Night on the piano, and I must say it is a beautiful song.
Would you believe it was written for guitar? There's also an awesome recording of it a capella by the Temptations on the CBS-FM "Ultimate Christmas Album" (Volume 1). So nice!
My favorite right now is "What Sweeter Music" by John Rutter, as performed by the King's College Choir. (You can hear it on those Volvo commercials where people tell how Volvos saved their lives.)
I'm also partial to 'Here Comes Santa Claus' sung by Gene Autry. It's got the best lines in it and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Someone's getting coal in their stocking.
I prefer Springsteen's "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town". It's like, the perfect Christmas song. A bit of rock without being cheesey, a great sax solo, and Bruce's intro... "Hey BAND! You been good this year, or what?"

Anyway, "Santa Clause" be Harry Connick Jr. and pretty much any rendition of "O Holy Night" is great.

No, I take communists who are happy to see 3 million Cambodians die, and thousands of Laotians and Vietnamese forced into labor and/or reeducation camps VERY SERIOUSLY.
Anyway, Cartman's version of O Holy Night is very good. When his voice changes, it is hysterical.
