Danny Devito = Eddie Mush

I just finished watching "Death to Smoochy" and while it was an OK movie, something really bothered me. Is it just me, or does Danny Devito completely ruin every movie he appears in. Even though he directed this one, what purpose did his character serve? None. Same goes for JFK, Hoffa, Mars Attacks, Man on the Moon, Get Shorty, bombs such as Renassaince Man, Others Peoples Money, Whats the worst that could happen?, etc. I mean, some of the above are decent movies that he plastered his face on for no valid reason. Don't get me wrong, I loved him in "Batman Returns" and in "Taxi". But it seems like all of these other movies (some which were pretty good), Devito has "mushed" them.
