I never GOT the "GUNDAM" anime show.

Does anyone actually watch this show? There's like 4 or 5 of them, and I'm not a fan of any of them.

They're all set in some future world where war between some federation and Zion is all over the place. And these japanese guys pilot robots into battle.

Now I REALLY enjoy Cowboy Bebop and some of the other Japanese cartoons Cartoon Network air, but these just don't do it for me.

Give me Dragonball. Give me Dragonball Z. Even give me that stupid Zoids show. Just keep Gundam.

I'm into giant mecha shows, but Gundam annoys me too, Moe.

First of all, they're just too damn convoluted. The plotline for Gundam Wing, for example, is just ridiculous. Needlessly complex.

Although they did have cool character names. I'm debating whether to name my firstborn son "Zechs Marquise" or "Treize Khushrenada".

Oh yea Grim, I forgot about the models. That's one of the reasons I tried to give it a shot. Those models DO look pretty cool. But the show is unwatchable.

Even this new G.Gundam is still pretty lame. You guys hit it on the nose. WHY DO I NEED A HUGE STORY! How about just some cool battles? But no, the girl has to be in love with the good guy and bad guy. There's a 10 episode long plan to blow shit up, and in the middle of it all, some guy I never paid attention to dies.

Lame ass.

I like Gundam Wing. Like TMP said, Gundam is 20 years old and his a long history. Wing was a side story that has nothing to do with any other series and was just a solid story if you can sit through 96 episodes.

I can't watch these American-run "Anime" shows lately, they seem like they're trying too hard, the last series I watched with any regularity was Ranma 1/2

All of the Gundam series are hardcore! The storylines are very complex, but very interesting. One thing you all have to realize also is that you are seeing the "american" versions on cartoon network. These versions are VERY cut up compared to the original japanese versions. You would probably enjoy it more of it wasn't so destroyed be the censoring. I own almost every Gundam series there is sparing two or three seasons. If you aren't a big fan of the series as a whole I'd suggest you watch "Gundam: 8th MS Team". Its the best one in my opinion.

Ok, as someone who watches a lot of anime, I must say, Gundam is a nice series. even though i dislike gundams, i watch it for Zion and the Zakus. They are effin' harsh. G. Gundam sucks monkey balls. But the rest of the series, in their intirity are great. none of that Cartoon network editing shit.

I watched Gundam wing, and I liked it alot. I loved the complex story line. the only problem is, if you miss one episode, you're lost for the next week.

Todd is right, G. Gundam does blow ass bubbles. I'd rather watch the spin cycle at a laundrymat.
