Ozzy re-records Bass and Drum tracks on classic albums to cut out original musicians!

I heard this on Eddie trunk on Friday Night, and it's been bothering me ever since.

It seems that on Blizzard of Oz and some other classic, high selling Ozzy albums, they re-recorded the Bass and Drum tracks, thereby cutting the original musicians out of royalties!

WHAT THE FUCK OZZY!!! DON'T YOU HAVE ANY RESPECT?

And the WORST part is Eddie reported that they're NOT stickering or marking the "Tainted" CDs, so you may just get the new tracks if you're unaware of the switcheroo.

So Randy Rhodes dies, and the other 2 are cut out so Ozzy can just suck all the cash. What a fucking cheap deal. I KNOW this is probably Sharon, but Ozzy just went down a LARGE notch in my Metal respect.

Wait, since Randy Rhodes is dead, wouldn't his estate be the ones entitled to the royalties? And if so, did they replaced Rhodes with Wylde? And if they did, what the hell for, Randy Rhodes was one of the greatest guitarists ever. Probably better than Eddie (back before he was a pussy)

I'm confuzzled...

I didn't hear Eddie's show on Friday, so, are guitarists cut too? Are ALL musicians cut? Randy Rhoads was a phenomenal guitarist. That would be just really, really WRONG if he was cut.

If he was, then it's apparent Ozzy's hitting the sauce.

That's a good point about Rhode's estate getting the royalties. I guess he's not stupid enough to try to reproduce Randy's guitar tracks. All I heard was that the drummer and bassist were being cut out of the equation.

And I KNOW it's Sharon, but Ozzy still has to sign things.

The most important thing is CHECK PRESSING DATES ON CD's! ONLY buy the old ones! But I understand that after awhile, there will be no more old Cds, so their plan will pan out. Son of a Bitch.

Remaster, sure. "Blizzard of Ozz" could sound so much better than it does now. I never liked the mix.

Unfortunately, stores were instructed to pull all the old copies off the shelves. Its still possible to find some in little stores, but not for long.
