View Full Version : The Police to re-unite!

R&F were discussing how uncomfortable it would be if Van Halen reunited with David Lee Roth when they are probably inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year.

Stop the presses.

Stewart Copeland, Andy Summers, and Sting are all being inducted this year, and Stewart has confirmed that they will perform together for the first time in nearly 20 years.

However, Stew has said "not to expect much."

Right - exactly since Sting now has the ego the size of a major continent and claims that all of the Police's songs is "his" music.

As a Police fan, I long for the days of their old 80's videos when they are all dancing around and being happy. It's like seeing a really bitter divorce, and the parents getting together for their child's high school graduation. Yuck!

Nice.

But if the Clash get back together for this year's induction...or even all show up...THEN I'd be impressed.

It'll probably be as tense as it was when Creedence Clearwater Revival was inducted a few years ago. John Fogarty joined his former bandmates to accept their awards and make speeches but he refused to play with them afterwards.

maybe they'll play once, but expect a tour when Sting gets premature ejaculation

coprland said that stink has not said yes to anything and that he was thinking of asking boner from u2 to sing with him and summers.
those two have been trying to get stink to play with them for 17 years. they are desperate.

Mojo,

What's up with the Clash do Strummer and Jones hate each other. I think they would make up to play a gig at the induction ceremonies.

The last time the Police played together was at Sting's wedding and before that was Live Aid.

Thank you Ron and Fez for finally being live in DC.
Philly is the next market for the boys. Wake up WYSP...

Um, Andy and Stewart have been doing just fine. Andy does film scores and Stewart is a producer. They are by no means "desparate".

Hate might be too strong. "Clashing egos" is more accurate, and far more clever.

This may be the very 1st large show I ever get tickets to.

The Police are GREAT! Not Metal of course, but after hearing them for the 1st time, I found myself hooked and picking up other albums like crazy.
