View Full Version : Newlywed Game Blooper
My roommate was watching some special on VH1 about various Game Show highlights. The last scene was the famous "urban legend" where Bob Eubanks asks one young newlywed lady where was the strangest place she's ever felt like making "whoopie." Her response?
"Umm... in the ass?"
Now, I always thought that her response was supposed to be "in the butt," but "in the ass" will suffice. It seemed realistic, but Ron seems to think it was a setup. Argh, I don't want to be a mark..

I had always heard that the response was "That would be up the butt, Bob" This is what they had to say on urbanlegends.com:
"I happened to hear the end of a radio interview this morning, and the interviewee was Bob Eubanks (or "Newlywood Game" fame). At the end of the interview (on the Alex Bennett Show on "live 105", 105.3 FM out of San Francisco at about 8:40 or so) they said they wanted to ask him just one more question. Before the first word of the question, he answered "No -- it never happened". When they asked THE question (if you don't know what _the_ UL question from the Newlywed game" is, you haven't been reading the newsgroup long enough), he answered that he KNEW that was what it was going to be, and that his answer was just what he said -- no, never happened, and he stands by his offer of $10,000 to anyone with evidence that it did."
I still believe it happened, but I am prone to bouts of gullibility.

Faster than lightning...
I saw the special last summer on NBC. He said in the intro that he denied it for years because that kind of thing wasn't spoken about bu then he showed it. The couple as realy ugly and the guy looked like the missing link. And it didn't look staged to me.

Just recently they had a show on VH1 about game show bloopers and classic moments, and they showed the clip. Bob at the end of the show said, something along the lines of, the cats out of the bag now.
