What the eff is "Very Bad Things" supposed to be?

So I catch this movie today on Comedy Central. Is it supposed to be funny? Because it wasn't. It was just depressing. Especially since it killed off Kobe Tai in the first ten minutes. And was it everyone's contract that they had to scream every line? Awful, awful movie.

i watched it all the way through the first time and was watching briefly today until the security guard notices the body, i honestly couldn't bare watching what happens to him and his screams...had to change it and didn't go back...

Yeah for some really weird reason that is a "dark comedy" in some people's minds and I do know people that for some odd reason did like it. I thought it was a big pile of crap and it has a great cast so I just dont understand what happened to them on this one.
I guess we all make mistakes and they all got paid a couple hundred thousand each for theirs =(

This movie was written and directed by the a-hole actor who was the white boxer in THE GREAT WHITE HOPE. What a bunch of no talents. This board could get together and write a bettter movie in three days.

I got a free copy at a convention once. I was excited because I liked everyone in the cast and I didn't get the chance to see it in the theater. When I watched it it left me with a pit in my stomach. A good dark comedy usually just has the antagonist get theirs in the end (which for the most part would be Slater). The problem with Very Bad Things is that they made everyone get it in the end. And to think that the payoff for the movie would be instead of Cameron Diaz having her "fairly tale" marriage she has to take care of all the gimps was really, really weak.

Where's the funny? Seriously. I love the cast, love the idea. Slater's "slef-help gone gonzo" shitck was funny at first, but it got old fast. It was just brutal. I love violent films, but the deaths were just disturbing. Especially the hotel security guard.
