i'm probably in the minority, but i really didn't like either one. if i had to choose i'd go with the Munsters though.

I never cared for any of those shows. But if I had to pick one I would go with the Munsters cuz i used to watch that on nick at nite for that 1 year it was on.

When I was younger, I prefered The Munsters, but as I grew The Addams Family took over the lead. Nowadays it's no contest. I'm with Gvac on this one. Gomez kicks ass.

Addams Family, without question. I watched some of The Addams Family marathon on channel 11 Saturday, and I forgot just how funny that show was. Lurch rocks.

Lurch, Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, Wednesday and Uncle Fester rock the house. Of course, I guess I will always have a special place in my heart for John Astin. . . and, later, Raul Julia who portrayed Gomez BRILLIANTLY in the theatrical films.

"Oh, Gomez, mon cher' "

It seems that the Munsters were always trying to "fit in" while the Addamses didn't care. I would prefer to be "me" regardless of what the neighbors think.

My all-time favorite Addams lines are:

(Scandalized truant officer to Gomez)"Your daughter is six years old and she doesn't know how to read!"
(Gomez)"What is there for a six-year-old to read?"
(Truant officer)"(Not much), but one day she'll be twenty-six."
(Gomez)"Come back then"

AND

Ok, so I guess no one remembers or realizes that The Addams Family had a future porn star on their hands. Wednesday Addams, what a slut! I mixed the two up and had to edit. Good job. My vote is for The Addams Family.

i liked the Munsters when I was younger and it was on channel nine in NY, but eventually i came to love old Addams Family episodes. And I'm probably biased because I probably like Addams Family because of that piece of ass Christina Ricci playing Wednesday in the movies. I did start to watch old Addams Family's though because it always seemed like there was some kind of Communist viewpoint in it somehow. Oh.........and I'm on PCP 21 hours a day, so that might influence my decision.
