View Full Version : Can't....control.....rage....It's the NEW 4 HHHorsemen.

From the WO newsletter.
WWE creative has crafted a long term plan to bring the Four Horsemen to Raw.
As of now, the plan is to have Triple H as the leader (Flair role), with Flair as the elder statesman (combo of Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon).
In addition, WWE would add Randy Orton after he turns full heel (in the Barry Windham role) and Batista (in the bruiser/enforcer role of Arn Anderson).
No word on the timing of the angle, or if Arn Anderson would be involved with the new Horsemen. And with everything in WWE, it could change at any time.

Jesus, and I thought Mongo was a bad choice for Horseman.
Personally, I don't think there should be ANY new Horsmen group, seeing as the Horsemen were and always will be one man - Ric Flair. As an active wrestler.
I could maybe go along with Flair as a manager, but not with HHH in the group. OR with Orton (Christ, are they ever trying to push this kid on us). Bautista I can take, since the 4th Horsmen spot usually goes to a big enforcer type. But c'mon - this is gonna be awful if it happens.
I just can't imagine that the fans will accept the 4 HHHorsemen.

Few are more of a Horsemen purist than me. I am by no means a HHH fan, but I do like hhhim in there. I can see him with the suits, the sunglasses, the belt. HHHe does fit the role. Now as far as the others go, I don't really know Orton and Bautista. Hhhonestly, it's been so boring of late, I haven't been paying that much attention, so I don't really hhhave an informed opinion of either of them. The thing that worries more than the actual wrestlers is the storylines. They've been so abominable these past few months that I'm afraid they're going to tarnish what, up until now, is probably the most enduring and beloved legacy in pro wrestling. Forget the DX crotch chop, Austin's finger, Hogan's posing, or the Wolfpac salute/high five thingy. Nothing means more to the fans than those four fingers. They better be careful, cause if they screw this up, a lot of people are gonna be mad.

Why, oh why didn't God strike Hunter down back in Montreal when Julie Hart asked him to? <P>
And with everything in WWE, it could change at any time. <P>
You have no idea how badly I hope this is the case. <P>

HHH has always been a huge mark for Ric Flair. So he is essentially trying to live out his vain, infantile fantasy.

it shouldnt be triple h and randy orton, if it should be anybody it shouldve been benoit (sadly hes on smackdown now) and chris jericho, i use to mark out all the time for the horsemen, heel or face they were the best faction in wrestling history but if the wwe screws this up thye are gonna take so much heat its frightening.

Fine, I can live with flair and HHH being in the horsemen. But Orton? NO way! The guy needs to establish himslef as a heel still. Bastista is big, but has no heat yet. A better choice would be Jericho. But considering HHH has been trying to hold him down since he got to the wwf..err wwe, I dont see that happening. But if I had to choose the next 4 horsemen i would take Eddie Guerrero and Benoit from smackdown and flair and Jericho. That would be sweet!
But then again, what do I know...

It's bad enough that the last few versions of the horsemen were pretty bad, this would really give it a sad ending. Just let the legacy rest.

...and since he's banging the boss' daughter (and she writes the shows) he's being allowed to do so, at the cost of Raw's audience.
God, do I miss ECW, at least there was an alternative.

It seems horrible but I love Leviathan possibly being involved.
Orton is just HORRIBLE! No one cares about you! Quit pushing him WWE!
Triple H, Flair, Leviathan and my pick... LANCE STORM! If you can't have Benoit, Storm is his equivalent or better in the technical sense.

I <B>still</b> say that, what's your point?
4 Horsemen:
Flair(manager)
Jericho
Benoit
Bautista
Storm
and Wrestling will be good again when these 5 beat HHH to a bloodied pulp...

The horsemen haven't been the same since they were only 3 members and one of them was "Pretty" Paul Roma.
The Horsemen could work with HHH but I don't see any of the support people mentioned impress me. I would think that you would need a strong tag team and the power guy.
As far as tag team, I say they need one all around wrestler, both technique and power, and that can only be Benoit. The man just has the aura of a horseman dripping off of him. His partner needs to be a straight up technician. I would have to say either Storm or if you want to bring in new blood, Cena, who has some interesting moves and some power of his own. As far as the power enforcer, I wouldn't be opposed to the reinvented Ron Simmons. Not the best crew, but working with what the wwe has now it may be the best they'll do.

THIS is where I really miss Austin. Because it was always said that, despite whatever else was going on in the man's head, Austin was somewhat able to keep HHH from running the whole damn show.
I miss you for that, Steve.
Look, I don't want ANY version of the Horsemen....BUT if they had to put one together, I wouldn't mind a group consisting of Benoit / Jericho / Storm / Christian. A "Canadian Horsemen" type of deal, with Flair managing.
They better be careful, cause if they screw this up, a lot of people are gonna be mad.
Well, that's the WWE for you.
They'll eventually do it, and they'll half-ass the job (like they do everything, i.e. the Invasion, i.e. the nWo), and they'll continue to rehash all of the good wrestling ideas that the true fans hold dear and cherish and piss on the legacy of the the greatest of heel stables of all time.

RAW writers need to cut the bullshit and stop these trying to be historic gimmicks. They all have failed because they all have been modified in some way.
Many people said "Raw Rouleete show was the best Raw in awhile", and that is the only way they can get ratings. Just imagine Smackdown! with the "rouleete" show, They could do wonders.

I don't care, I'd rather have HHH runnin the show than austin. I hated Steve in a way that none of you could even imagine. I hated that man with a passion, always taking away the spot lite. Each week Raw would end with...
J.R.-STUNNER, OH MY GOD A STUNNER
blah blah blah
He was always in the main event and always won. If he wasn't in a hardcore match than he sucked a big one. Punch punch kick punch irish whip stunner....oh yeah thats entertaining. Of course his classic events with filling Vince's convertable with sement and driving the beer truck in will always been good memories it just doesn't even out. I'd rather of those never happened and he not main evented EVERY F'N SHOW. Those fan's loved him too. HMMMMM austin took his ball and left, HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU AUSTIN. GO BEAT YOUR WIFE YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT!

This board makes my head hurt.
WWE sucks. HHH sucks.
At this point, I say fuck it. Let HHH live out his masturbatory fantasy of being a Horseman. Let Flair further degrade himself and his legacy. Let WWE push untalented nobodys, while extremely talented workers continue to perfect their craft outside of WWE rings and the public eye. All it means is, when the WWE goes belly-up, there will be actual quality wrestling right there on the horizon, without all the Sports Entertainment bullshit.
Oh, and Lance Storm is NOWHERE NEAR Benoit in terms of ring charisma or technical ability, and Steve Austin carried the entire promotion last year through the awful Invasion angle, and for that, he's a saint and Vince McMahon should provide him with a hooker a night until the day he dies.

wheres malenko when ya need em.
don't do it. did they learn anything from buying wcw-the invasion. two brand name thats going on now. they brought back
the NWO. HOW LONG DID THAT LAST 3MONTHS.. maybe. IF THEY HAVE TO
then thsi should be the foursome. FLAIR AS THE MANAGER THATS IT. batista,storm,raven,y2j.....
guys they won't give a push to or not enough of a push. you could slide the sucka in there.
it would be nice to a fourhorseman where all the members are former wcw rasslers....BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T. always love the highway.

Thanks Fallon!

How easily we forget. The reason I don't care what HHH does, is because he carried the promotion for all of 2000 when Austin was injured. McMahon should be kissing his ass the way he does. So let's not dwell on the fact that he does sometimes act like an asshole behind the scenes, let's remember that he has earned the right too.
And, I too think that this new Horseman thing can work. At least it will get some of the new talent much needed exposure.
