Atlantic City, Anyone?

Hosp and I were discussing how much we love to gamble and thought, why not plan a lil trip to Atlantic City? For the anal retentive, this isn't an official board anything. Also, you need to be 21 and over to get into the casinos, so if you're under, sorry, but too bad.

We are planning on meeting Saturday, November 2, at 1pm at the Copa Bar, 2nd Floor of the Sands.

Directions are pretty much straight forward: New Jersey Turnpike to the Garden State Parkway, exit 38 (Atlantic City Expressway). Follow directions from A.C. Expressway.

We weren't planning on getting a room. If anyone wants to spend the night, please feel free to make arrangements on your own.

Just some more information:

I will be taking the Greyhound bus from the Port Authority at 10:30. This bus goes directly to the Sands. The good thing about using the bus from the Port Authority is that you can come back anytime during the next 4 days.

If you can't make it that early, if you email me I will give you my cell number and I will try to check it every hour or which ever time you tell me you should be getting there.

Saturday, November 2nd F1g.

And we're just meeting at the sands because for the most part it's in the middle of the boardwalk. After that we will spread the wealth to many casinos. I know a few people are interested in the Wild Wild West Casino. Hell, on the weekends they have live country music there. We'll all learn the tush push.

All plans and times can be changed though if enough people want a change. I'd like to have dinner at the Showboat buffet if other people are interested. The good thing there is that you pay on your way in so no need to split checks.

And Fiesty, do you have a DVD player at your place? It may be about time for a screening of the most talked about movie in WNEW-related message board history.

So we are stuck with the boardwalk or Trump Marina.
Showboat has a few more 10.00 tables then alot of other casinos

if you wanna see your car again youll park either in a parking garage/ lot or valet at the hotel....i wouldnt park on the street if i were you- they are VERY STRICT in towing adn parking adn stuff...some streets are narrow and most are VERY busy

Last time I went down to AC (work-related trade show), we parked at one of Merv Griffin's properties (don't recall the one). Parking was free as long as you validated in the casino.

Check the websites for the different casinos- they probably will tell you if you can park for free w/validation or what the costs are.

I had a good time with everyone down in AC. Lost $10 on slots, and $5 playing craps (But I spent an hour at the table, and was up like $20-$30 at one point).

There must be some kinda flu going around with all the people sick. I had a sore throat in the morning, but after about an hour, I figured it wasn't too bad, and headed down.

We have to do this again, but need more people to go.
