View Full Version : Kentucky Fried Movie - funniest film ever?

I truly don't know about anyone else but this has got to be one of the funniest films I have ever seen. from the opening which for those who have not seen it, I don't want to ruin it but from there on I was in tears. it is sketch comedy at it's finest ala old school SNL but funnier and more risque for the time. The only other film like this at the time i believe was "The Groove Tube" which is also funny as hell and came out in 1973 I think. Just wondering who else loves this movie, what quotes can you rattle off and what is your most favorite/memorable scene from the film. I am really curious to see who else knows this classic.
Some of my personal favorites are the classic "Catholic High School Girls in Trouble" where Linda Chambers re-creates her famous "Role", the "Thats Armageddeon" trailer, the part in the one news cast where the hamster gets thrown over the ladys shoulder and "The Wonderful World of Sex". I am not even going to mention "A Fistful of Yen" which is too classic it rises above all others. New York/Hong Kong, tough and ruthless/rough and toothless and the Chinese names in the game show scene are classic.
I am shutting up now as I could go on endlessly.

Gotta disagree with you a little bit, Mr. Nutter. I picked up a VHS copy for a couple of bucks a month ago and in rewatching it, thought it seemed a little dated. It definitely had a few laughs and has great nostalgia value, but since the same crew wrote Airplane it seems to me to be a B-level effort for them.

Of course, I've been wrong before.

Classic! I remember howling in the theater. It's a bit dated now but it was a hilarious flick!

Amazon was also great! The part in the beginning with Arsenio Hall get f'ed up by his apartment was classic. The part with the guy who gets the video date was great too. Batch material when I was younger. Anyone remember the actresses name who was in that scene?

KFM is a funny movie, but the Naked Gun is better.

The girl in the video is Monique Gabrielle very hot. She is one those skin-a-max actresses very hot.
We want Ron and Fez live in DC.
