At what point does a jacket become a coat , how long does it have to bee and if it was big enough to be a coat wouldnt it be a JACK?

i looooooooooove responding to stuff like this...a jacket usually goes down to your waist-ex) Bomber jacket- or to your hips-ex) a blazer for a suit-...a coat is usually made out of a heavy mater ial usually wool, felt, cashmere, alpaca, twill weave (tranch coat), etc...usually is a bit longer from the hips and can go to the floor...jackets are lighter weight then coats...
