I didn't think Kate and Leopold was bad. Would have been better without Meg Ryan though.
I have three rules which I live by: Never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city, and never go near a lady with a tattoo of a dagger on her hand. Now you stick with that, and everything else is cream cheese."

You have hit a nerve here. Some of my favorite movies are women's relationship films. They usually start with an innocent young lady being unjustly convicted by a misogynist male judge and sent away to a correctional institution to pay a debt to society that she really doesn't owe! The injustice of it! But once she gets there she spends a lot of time talking with her new friends, some of whom have become embittered and a little hostile by the bad breaks life has dealt them. But after they share their feelings and practice good hygiene by showering a lot, they discover they are really very similar. Then an ugly male guard gets stabbed and they escape to taste wonderful freedom once again. There are so many favorites: Caged Heat and Heated Cage and oh, too many to mention.
Thanks! I feel better for having shared.
If you can't laugh at the misfortunes of others, what can you laugh at?

it was a good flick. Could be considered Chick flick. I also Love One crazy summer but I think that movie pushes it.

Man, I don't know about this. And the Cusack films I brought up. Sure, they're "nice", but they're also too good to be chick flicks.

Oh wait, it says right there that it's NOT a chik flick.
O'kay, I'll go with "When Harry Met Sally" as my all-time fave, but will also stop to watch "You've Got Mail" and "Pretty Woman" just about anytime I'm flipping channels.</font>

Unfortuneatly, some of my favs just happen to fall in that chick flick category..lol
Here's a sample:
"When Harry Met Sally"
"Say Anything"
"Pretty Woman"
"Chasing Amy"(quasi-chick flick i suppose)
"Somekind of Wonderful"(chick flick in training)
Among others...can't think of any more, my mind went numb cause of the sugar..see ya.

It's not "unfortunate" for someone to see "Say Anything" or "Chasing Amy"...it's a blessing. And "Anything" still has one of the best endings of all time.
