i won't even bring up Cherone, but i'm more of a Roth era fan. the videos were great, although i do like some of the Hagar era songs.

I am not a Van Halen fan at all. I just like a handfull of songs. But if I must pick a singer, I would have to go with Diamond Dave. He is a much better entertainer. And his songs were much better than Hagars. Hagar had only a few good songs with the band.

You're joking, right? Well, just in case you really dont know..it's Mr Roth. The original of ANYTHING is always best (Godfather excepted).

Hagar in Van Halen was pathetic. I say: "Sammy, you can drive 55..into a wall"!

Roth, without a doubt.
Besides, i once saw Hagar in the backseat of a caddy doing bad bad things.

Have to go with Roth, it was more Raw when He was fronting. Hagar (if the stats were right) had more hits, or # one albums with them. I dont know who was listening... I like the Sammy of late, that shit he did w/ VH was mostley lame. Only a couple i liked. Seeee Yahhhhh! <P>

David Lee was born to be in that band. What a shame the VanHalen brothers are such humorless assholes.

I go with Hagar, cause at least he went out with a lil more dignity than Hagar. And he can still rock even if he is like 60+...

Is music so pathetic these days that we need 60+ year old rockers???

Definitely Diamond Dave. The man was the most insane performer of his time. He did more shit on that stage to put on a show than damn near any other frontcan think of.

You're saying strange things....STOP IT!!!!

I had a poster of David Lee Roth over my bed in college and it broke my heart when he was gone. To see him now though is just so depressing all balding and with that kind of hyper, hopeful expression on his face, but when I hear "Everybody Wants Some","Ice Cream Man" or "Ain't Talking 'Bout Love" I remember the Dave of days gone by.

Roth....on tape. The original VH was one of the best bands of all time (in my opinion, the best, but I know others would argue).

Hagar...going forward. The guy just doesn't seem to age, and after hearing both guys perform on stage this summer, I think the only one who would do a respectable job in the future would be Sammy. Not to mention that Dave is a complete asshole, and there is only room for one asshole in every band. Since sobering up, that has been Ed's badge to wear.

...silent, but violent.
