this game rocks. you perform crossovers and other moves with the right analogue stick. its called freestyle control and the animation is so fluid that once you get used to it, you'll be breaking your defender's ankles left and right. the only thing wrong with this game is that the Computer tends to try for too many fast breaks. thats because the game comes with the simulated mode defaulted. only that is not sim mode, its actually the arcade mode. some idiot tester at EA missed this mix up. although EAsports has denied this, i find the arcade mode less arcadey with less fast breaks and less blocked shots. just make sure you turn back on the game rules and foul meters.
the reason i got Live instead of nba2k3 was because of Live's freestyle thing and because it has 1on1 play. the 1on1 in Live is like another game in itself. i've actually been playing that more than the regular season games.
