You may have been to Queens in recent years and have seen the Unisphere, the MIB "towers",the old Saturn V Rocket may still be there. These old icons don't pay enough justice to the grandure that once was in Flushing Meadows.

Imagine if you can, walking through Disney World now and then again in the future long after it may have been abandoned and dismantled.(Kinda like walking down the beach and seeing the Statue of Liberty laying on it's side). The NY World's Fair was unbelievable. It wasn't the effort of one corporation to build this park, but the $$ and genius of dozens.

Take some time and take a look.

Awesome link, Ralphy. It really was incredibly advanced for the time, in retrospect.

I'd like to see something be done with those old structures, maybe a re-creation of some sort.
