Why do you cheer for Triple H?

This man is ruining WWE. He is nowhere near the performer he was before his injury. He is holding everyone back. Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, Lance Storm, Christian...these guys are incredible workers with great mic skills. Will they ever get a chance? Of course not. Because Triple H is a greedy, selfish man. It is because of him that WWE is getting rid of the Intercontinental title. This title has such unbelievable history. This should have been the primary title on Raw. But, no. Triple H had to give himself an imaginary "World Title" instead of the "lowly" IC title. WWE is on a path straight down the drain. And it is because of Triple H. Because all of the Triple H marks cheer him, he thinks he is the center of this promotion. He is banging the boss' daughter, so he knows that he can do no wrong. So if you call yourself a real wrestling fan, please stop cheering for Triple H.

I pretty much agree with everything you say. And the naysayers or WWE apologists, they cop the usual line: "Well, you don't really know what goes on in the locker room, all those rumors about him are just that - rumors."

A fine point, but the law of probability dictates that with SO MUCH negative shit said about him, stories of his actions, etc., at least SOME of it is bound to be true. The fact that he's always the focal point of anything & everything he's associated with (and sometimes, that which he is not) adds evidence as well.

You know what the really sad thing about all of this is? They seem to be building him up to be the evil heel who we're supposed to hate & jeer because he's not worthy of his spot as champion / main eventer / air hog (as Scott Keith might say, "I love shoot comments that aren't meant to be shoot comments."). Thus, we'd cheer for the faces like RVD, Booker T, or...*sigh*...Kane...to come along and beat him for the title. This seems like what they're doing.....

....only the sad thing is, you KNOW that in the end, he will NOT job to them. Or if he does, it will be done in a way that it leaches all of the face's heat, and makes them look like nothing.

I thought the whole "good guy versus bad guy" days were over. what kills me about Trips is that he really thinks he is playing his part well. These idiot marks would cheer for him if he came out in a clown suit. His promos are stale, his athletisism has slipped severly, and he has no one left to carry him to a decent match anymore ala Austin, Foley and Rock.

Well as of now i hate and do not cheer for HHH but there is a little room for a little respect. No one can deny his classic matches with Mick Foley and i respect him for that, The Street Fight and Hell in a Cell were spectacular matches. I wish he would tear another ligement so he could leave. But i still will have that little respect for those matches.

I will always respect him for what he did. Just like I will always respect Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair for what they did. That doesn't mean I want them to be the center of WWE all of the time.

HHH helps makes stars out of so many pple. just ask jeff hardy, rvd , jericho. he wants all these guys to at the same level as him. heck i love his idea of diluting lesnar's championship by creating one for himself.

I don't understand why he gets cheered the way he does...it is more because there aren't that many other established guys that fans will cheer for, rather than because he is so great. fans (normal everyday fans, not internet fans) could care less who is banging steph, they just want to be entertained...and in some way they justify what hhh does is entertaining. personally, i watched more of the football game last night than i did raw cause hhh and kane took up way too much tv time
