Godawful overplayed songs

if i here arials by system of a down one more time i'm going to fucking kill myself. it's on at least 30 times a day and the video is on just as much.

the radio KILLS songs to the point of making me suicidal. system of a down is what is on the most to me right now, what songs do you think radio stations and mtv play to fucking death?

I hated top-40 radio when I was a kid because you'd hear the same songs played ad nauseum. Now, classic rock stations have become as bad (if not worse). Armed with their lame-ass playlists, they have made me begin to loathe hearing songs by bands I really like:

"Won't Get Fooled Again"/"Baba O'Reilly", The Who
"All My Love"/"Fool in The Rain"/"Stairway to Heaven", Led Zeppelin
Anything off of "Some Girls", The Rolling Stones
"Come Together", The Beatles

Why do they insist upon playing these same fucking songs over and over?

Of course, there's the inevitable overkill of "Sweet Home Alabama" and/or "Free Bird".

Good Call! THIS IS WHY I YELL AT PEOPLE WHO TELL ME RADIO IS SO GREAT! And THIS is why I'm pissed off that Leykis is on in the arternoon.

SOmetimes you're in an a position where ONLY a radio can be listened to for your entertainment. So I think it's pretty clear that 99% of music radio SUCKS DICK. SO you turn to Talk, and Ron and Fez are tops. But then, LICKASS makes you turn it off. SO now what? Tapes and CDs sure, but what if you can't play your music somewhere. You are DEAD.

This is when I switch to political talk radio. NOT that great, but it keeps me thinking a little, and it's NOT another STAINED song.

i totally agree with moe, i never listen to music radio and the only talk i care bear is ron and fez, when thats not on i have either sports radio which is an embarassment (for myself for liking crappy teams and the djs cause they dont know their ass from their armpit) or politics, which i really dont mind, i like knowing about laws and stuff, but if your listening to the radio for music i could kick you right now. stick to your cds and tapes, and vinyl if you have any (i have tons) thats your safest bet with music now a days.

Alternative Rock used to be ALTERNATIVE to mainstream.. now it's main stream. And SOAD isn't half bad, especially prision song, but they need an indie station... or new alt stations or sumthin, playing the get up kids, saves the day, rocket from the crypt, dashboard confessional... and they also need metal radio.. with the new progressive rock bands, like extol, and Nile. I miss good radio.

the CD player in my car recently broke and I have been forced to listen to KROCK during my drive home. I swear I here the same 7-8 songs everyday. I'm shocked if I don't here these 3 bands: System of the Down, Sublime and for some reason Pearl Jam never gets old on that station. At least they play the Pearl Jam songs from Ten alot.
