LOTR hooplah? I think I feel left out...

...as of today, I still have yet to see the first LOTR film or "Star Wars Episode 2"...I did at least see "Spider-Man", but that's about the only blockbuster I went to, and that only once...am I alone in this? The LOTR films just look so nerdlicious and boring...

I'm bringing this thread back because of the show today and the fact I finally tried to watch LOTR on DVD over a week ago...and couldn't finish it. It was just so overblown and hammy and bloated...bored me to tears. Oh well. I still like that old "Hobbit" cartoon, but that's about it...

I can beat that. Haven't read the books, seen the movie (even though my roommate owns it), haven't saw Spiderman or SW Ep II either. I'd say I was out enjoying life this summer, but I'd be lying. I was drinking. Alot.

It's not like I have a choice, since Jackson has only made LOTR. And he should go back to making horror films. Those were fun.

that it was very much in the
artistic style of JRR
Tolkien's own drawings.

i dunno, ive read these books 4 times each including the hobbit and i love them but i will say they arent for everyone. mojo i think that you should at least give it one more shot, and maybe go see two towers if you find this boring, i really think helms deep is gonna change anyones mind if they found this first film boring.
