A filthy rodent was in my house today!!

A little, tiny black mouse somehow got into my house. My 2 cats spotted it first and started batting it around, but they wouldn't kill it! First, it was running around the kitchen, then, the living room, then, MY ROOM. And there are dirty clothes all over the floor in my room, so the little bastard had plenty of places to hide. My kitty, Blanche, spotted it hiding under one of my slippers, so I flashed a flashlight at it, and it ran into my mother's room. My mom got a shoebox, caught it, and set it free outside. I don't know what it is about Central-to-South Jersey, but I'm always having to deal with little animals. Over the past few years, I've had a dead squirell and several dead birds in my swimming pool. A possum and a strange dog in my backyard. Bunnies in the driveway. Squirells that hibernate in our attic during the winter. Last time I checked, I wasn't Snow White. Does anyone else have these problems?

I killed like 4-5 white mice last year. I got a field behing my house and I guess they come from there.

My dog spots them, most of the time I found them dead after they ate some poison. But one time I whacked the shit out of one with a broom and killed his suck ass.

I hate rodents. They are vile and disgusting. I have a friend who squeals like a little girl when he sees one. I had to work in my token booth once with a baby rat. I was not too pleased.

i live in a studio basement apartment. about a month ago, i went into the kitchen/laundry room, and out of the corner of my eye, i saw a little mouse trying to jump out of the utility sink. this is also the sink i use to wash my dishes and stuff. i thought it went away, and a few days later it was there again. rather than have my cats kill it, i was able to get it to hop in a plastic cup and i freed it outside. i'm sure one of my cats got to it later.

another time prior to that, i had just got home and had my door open for my cats to come in and out...they get excited when i come home...anyway, Doodle brought a little mouse inside. he hid behind my dresser for a while, and then was trying to run from me and my cats. it finally ran across the room and into an empty plastic bag that just happened to be on the floor. i took the bag and put it across the street, so the cats wouldnt get it. they ended up killing a different mouse for me instead, that night.

There was some movie on FOX last week about a WHOLE BUNCH of rats killing and biting people and stuff. It was a crazy-stupid movie but ever since I saw it I've been looking around my house and my basement making sure there is no rats in my house. Scary ass little things those rats.
