Elvis Costello punched a whole in my gas tank with a screwdriver because I said he was a prick for working with Bachachachachacharach.

ELVIS IS KING!
my aim is true was recorded with "clover", huey lewis' band at the time. no, he was not on the record.
this years model and anything with the attractions(hall of fame this year) are all great.
the bacharach album is great(sorry mojo).
he got punched out in the late 70's for calling ray charles a "blind, ignorant nigger" on one of his first U.S. tours.

By a WOMAN! The pugilist was Bonnie Bramlett, former lead singer of early '70s white R&B outfit "Delaney and Bonnie and Friends" (which included Eric Clapton at times). She also co-starred as the blonde waitress at the department store coffee shop on "Roseanne".

But being Drudge Jr., I'm sure you already knew that.

"Less Than Zero" is like my 4th favorite song of all time. And his new album ain't too shabby, either. God bless Rhino Records for rereleasing his first six albums...

Elvis is a genius. I like how he has reworked and rerecorded songs because he wasn't happy the first time, then releases it. I'm digging on his new single "45", haven't heard the rest of the album yet.

Get When I Was Cruel soon. You'll love it, Jon.
Also find Taking Liberties if you don't have it, all different versions of songs and b-sides, etc.

In March 1979, at the tail end of 53-concerts-in-69-days tour, Costello got into an arguement Stephen Stills (of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young) and Bonnie Bramlett (a minor singer from the '60s) in a hotel bar in Columbus, Ohio. Besides the Ray Charles slur, he also called James Brown "a jive ass nigger". Why? According to Costello, "it became necessary for me to outrage these people with the about the most obnoxious and offensive remarks that I could muster."

Whatever. I think it was just the foolish actions of a young know-it-all who'd downed too much booze, trying to shock obnoxious Stephen Stills.

This is an interesting Costello list:
