I'm not sure if this goes
better under entertainment,
but anyhow... I am going to
a show at Shine
(www.shinelive.com is their
site, forget the exact
address, it's on west
broadway just off of Canal
Street though) to see the
Nancy Atlas Project at 8:30
pm... thought I would let you
all know in case you were
interested in that sort of
thing. She plays sort of
americana-rock-coutry sort
of stuff (maybe like Lucinda
Williams-y she does a ton
of covers too like rolling
stones etc) - she has some
MP3's at her website
(nancyatlas.com) - so
anyhow, the show is a TON
of fun and I hope I see you
there!!!!!

Is she the singer who was profiled on that Hamptons documetary on ABC earlier this summer? If so, she seemed pretty good; unlike those horrible dilettantes/wannabes who populate the place in the summers. <P>

Yeah she was profiled on
the Hamptons show,
apparently though I didn't
see it (its on her website).
She is SO much fun. I don't
knwo what the cover is but I
just emailed the club
(info@shinelive.com) and
they put me on the guest list
for a $10 cover. I guess the
guy the sax (or horn? I don't
know??) player(?) from
bruce springsteen's band
(has a C name I forget sorry
I'm not a bruce fan) is going
to be there - she just wrote
me a little note about it.
Even if you can't make it
check out the mp3s on her
site and consider buying
her CD, I'm always all for
supporting the struggling
artists of the world,
particularly the good ones :)
