Best opener since the first season. Sure, let the naysayers who can't handle change come on and rant that it "sucked", but we all know that they're fat and stupid and Jesus hates them.

I liked the end with the 20 dollar bill and it just ended that way. Anthony Jr. looks a lot older this season.

He was always heavy into the party drugs like coke and shit, but I believe he didn't do smack until the Italy trip, when he met Furio...he planned to kick it when he got back, but then Furio came over, and Chris kinda lost his willpower...it's something they seemed to have forgotten about last season, was wondering if he was still on it all this time...

Yeah, I noticed that when they replayed epsiode 13 earlier this year.

I'm glad too -- I can't stand Fairuza Balk (I don't know why). Besides, I liked Lola Gualdini from when she was on NYPD Blue.

This first episode was awesome, it was very reminiscent of the first season, episode one. Within this first showing they lined up what is to come for the rest of the season, (maybe a little too much)but then again who knows what storylines they will follow up on. I can't wait to see it all unfold throughout the season.

excelent show! and they edited the end of season 3 DVD and put that blonde FBI agent in place of the dark haired snaggle toothed one.

i really enjoyed the first episode. it was all about the setup for the rest of the season, which is the way it should be. i wasnt expecting so big grand opening ep. so it was perfect. now i cant wait for the sundays to come!

I definetly see Meadow asking to join the "family" this year, Tony cant trust A.J. and Meadow kinda has the make up to do this. Now that she is all crushed about Jacky dying tony will take her under his wing, at which time she will kill Ralphie (or maybe paulie)

Nah, I think it's all about an 18 year old wanting to be treated as an adult. Remember, you have to live a lifetime of lies when you're "connected."

1. She KNOWS he's connected. When I was her age, I'd pin my dad to the wall about some issues. I wanted him to come "clean" and quit hiding the truth. She's trying to tell him she's an adult now.

2. Jackie just died. Meadow respects the institution although she doesn't agree with it (kind of like Carmela?)

3. This season is supposed to be about Tony and Carmela being parents. That clip was a "natural conflict" between parent and child.
