12:30 Letterman Or Conan?

I think Letterman started slipping just before he left NBC and at this stage, it's a little like watching Willie Mays at the end in the 73 World Series. I'm 30, so I'm not long for Conan's target demo.It's a pretty good show, I like the fact they try some different, weird jokes that you won't see on any of the other 3 main late night shows. ( I'll probably be alone here, but I have no interest in Jimmy Kimmel's new show, but that's another thread.) All that said, as of now, I think Letterman at his best (at NBC) was better than Conan.

Conan. Dave was a mightily funny man, but he always had a sense of "I'm too good for this, and definitely too good for YOU!"

Best of all, with Andy gone, and now Max on tour again, Conan has shown he can carry a show all by himself, something that neither Carson, Leno, or Letterman has done, or even attempted in 30 years...

Conan, i think hes much funnier. Letterman's top 10 lists aren't even funny at all any more. I might watch conan a lot more on comedy central so then it doesn't interfer with ron and fez.

I thnk Dave still has some of the oomph he used to, he's gotten it back more recently anyway. But Conan is absolutely hilarious, and keeps getting better and better. I thought the loss of Andy might have been trouble, but he's gotten better.

i prefer conan, but i still like letterman. i was watching letterman the other day, and he has this new segment "will it float?" where they put something into a tank filled with water and see if it floats. genius, i tell ya.

leno sucks ass, i cant watch it even when he has someone good on.. ugh

I do work, but there is TIVO, the VCR, and Conan is being re-run at 7pm on Comedy Central.
As far as Letterman today, I find it unwatchable, mostly. I was comparing the 80's, NBC Letterman, a far superior show, I think.

Kilborne is odd...he can be hilarious when he has someone on who is a good friend or he obviously respects...too often it's just your standard "hot girl" to try and cater to that Maxim-crowd the show is courting, and that just sucks. When he has guys like Dave Grohl and Vince Vaughn it's fantastic...and his Morrissey-worship got Moz to make two TV performances, so he's OK with me...

conan hands down. his off the wall humor is great, and its like he does to the show to make fun of talk shows. so its like theres no pressure.

Conans a sketch comedy writer, hes used to doing jokes that were on SNL, so his show is mainly a short monolouge a skit and then the guests.

Letterman does anti-talk show jokes, they were funny, but now hes just theres.

Leno does gag jokes, hack comedy if you will, its not always great, but hes decent.

Conan targets the younger crowd as well, and when he had Andy they were awesome. Conan would rock at 11:30
