Ok, the best title I could think of for this here because sometimes it really feels that way. I just wonder how long does it take before one loses his her mind after being on a serious dateless streak. I mean I know that I will date again but for goodness sake how long do I have to wait beofre I even meet someone I have anything in common with? I sure don't want to have another disaster of a relationship just because I thought thats the best that would come along. Not only unfair to me but it was to her also. I am just looking for a bit of advice or suggestions here. I am new to the area and haven't met anyone yet. I'm not depressed or anything just thinking about this today. I know I am not alone here and others go through this same shit but sometimes it just feels like I am destined to be single for ever.

Be suave and charming. That helps a lot.

You know how it goes, man. you just gotta throw yourself out there. Kick the personality up a notch (BAM!), talk to anyone and everyone, at work, school, bars, whatever. If you send out the vibe, someone'll catch it and send it back.

Yeah blakjeezis I totally follow you there but the thing is...well...maybe I am setting my standards too high. I don't know, I was just throwing this out there to see what advice I could get from those who have been in that spot. Hell, I'm not even seeing anybody remotely interesting. I also wonder why is it all these nice looking girls are with these guys who look like they commit sexual assault for a living and just treat girls like shit. Guys like that need to go.

Just settle on someone who's not what you're looking for! That'll be a long lived, healthy relationship.
Just joking. Life is crule and hard, and we all die alone. Best to accept this crule reality as soon as possible.

Gee, thanks. Now I feel like Carla in the episode of Cheers when she got all depressed and wraped her self up in blankets and looked like a bag lady. I actually tried to settle for someone who was opposite of me and she was all yelling at me telling me to turn of the metal an dlisten to her top 40 garbage.
