I've had Allstate for my homeowner's insurance since 1991. So, I've been with them for 11 years. I made two, (TWO?!?!) claims in those 11 years-- one in 1999 and the other one a couple of months ago.

Today, I got a notice on non-renewal in the mail. They're dropping me!

You tell them Fuzybutt!!! Good luck on getting insurance again.Hopefully you will get better and cheaper insurance

best thing you can do is find an insurance company and use them for every type of insurance auto, life, homeowners, renters, whatever then if they send you the nonrenewal for one of them, you just threaten to pull all your business and they'll fold and keep you

Seagullbeagle is right but let me add to his suggestion.Go to an insurance broker and let them have the burden of finding a company to take you on.They are all the same.Two claims and your gone.Play the game!

Seriously, I'm going to try to go with NJ Manufacturers for my auto and my homeowner policies. This is actually a good thing-- I've been wanting to change carriers but I've been lazy.

Insurance Companies in general completely suck.. They have no shame, no reason to care about their customers... Makes me sick..

You want to leave one company to go to another, no matter how good a driver you are you are in assigned risk so you get screwed that way... They force you to stay with one company until they want to kick you to the curb...

I listen to much less WNEW than I used to!!!!

I can sympathize-as a NJ driver (with no points, no accidents, yet they charge a LOT of money), I've been ripped off for many years now. State Farm-who I'm unfortunately currently with-is leaving the state very soon. I'm applying with AAA Insurance and I'm just hoping for the best...in NJ I'm not hoping for much. Good luck!

LIBERTY MUTUAL is a great insurance company ((oxymoron, i know))

for car insurance as a new driver ALLSTATE quoted me $6800/year; Liberty Mutual is $1900/yr. and they have good coverage, and a lot of people i know who have Liberty Mutual poilicies say that they're great.

I'd look into them for Homeowner's insurance, or go with NJ Manufacturers Insurance Group if you could.
