If u did not wear the nations colors today, are you still a patriot or anti-american?

I recognize & remember the terrible tragedy that happened on September 11, 2001. The devastating loss of life and unshakeable sense of fear that affected all Americans. Our nation has come together as never before, and the last year has been spent recovering, rebuilding, and reflecting.

I am offering a moment of silence in remembrance of the tradedy.

Yes.

I don't know about up in NYC, but in the last day or two, the flags have been popping up all over DC and on the major raods leading in...

the choice of clothing doesn't make someone more or less of a patriot.

i'm a patriot because i love my country.

the ribbons are a fashion statement for the shallow.

I respectfully disagree, Furie. Although it's certainly a choice as to whether or not you want to display your patriotism, wearing the colors which symbolize this great nation is not merely a fashion statement for the majority of those who wear them--especially today. It is a small show of support for the victims, our leaders, and our armed forces who are keeping us free. Granted, some people do use it as a fashion statement, but I'll take a shallow display over no display at all. But again, I dont think this is true in the majority of cases. Like Aggie, I've had a flag on my car for a year (just recently replaced with a new one)and have absolutely no plans to take it down. ever.

I think it's your, pride in your country, your convictions and your actions that make you a patriot. Wearing red, white and blue is not necessary to show your patriotism, however I do feel, if possible today, it is a nice aesthetic.

I tried to wear red, white and blue today, but unfortunately I could just pull off the red. All my pants that are blue are either jeans or baggy snowboard pants, and that just wouldn't look classy when I'm trying to manage a bookstore with a dress code...

I have a ribbon pin that they gave out at work today. You should be a patriot EVERY day of the year, not just on 9/11. It reminds me of the days after 9/11, when I had an american flag flying off of my car. Many people stopped and asked me "Where did you buy that? we can't find one anywhere??"

I had the flag all along in my house, along with numerous other ones that were hung every year at memorial day, flag day, veterans day, 4th of july - etc.

Today I wore blue pants & shirt with white socks along with the America Flag boxer shorts. I feel bad but that's the only thing found at the last minute... woke up late.

Also, the front door at my place has a Wow sticker and the flag underneath it.

I'm wearing black jeans with a greenish brown t-shirt. I don't own any clothes of those colors, really. I wear more dark colors. My bag doesn't have a flag or ribbon on it. My car doesn't either. I just don't feel I need to prove my patriotic feelings to others for just one day.

On the other hand, the carport I park in has a full sized American flag that has been hanging all year and will prolly stay until it looks like it needs to be replaced.
