Dirt Bomb/Rock Fights

When I was a kid there was a hill near my house where we would have Dirt Bomb fights. This involved ripping a clump of weeds out of the ground and throwing them at each other.
As the fight progressed, and the alliances would form at the top and bottom of the hill, it would get nuts.
The kids on the bottom would have a disadvantage, so they would start throwing rocks up the hill. As soon as someone got hit with a rock they retaliated with their own rock. and soon it was a full fledged rock fight!
I cant count all the kids who got hit HARD with a rock! GREAT FUN!

my drummer has a very interesting story about these dirtbomb fights. It involved him grabbing a dirtbomb that has a rock in it. Then he lobbed it and hit the kid right in the head. The kid fell, and after about 5 mins people wonder where he went, they found him bleeding from the middle of his forehead. now thats funny

king of the hill was the best, full contact too. I dunno how many kids broke thier arms on the hill by my house.

I always used to do that, I'd also like to take plastic bottles fill them up with dirt and toss them like smoke bombs and sneak up behind the opponent. One time i got a rock right under my lip that put a hole straight through it. I didn't want to tell my mom cause then i'd have to get stitches, so i used butterfly bandaid and took care of it.

we had a few of each growing up...
as usual someone got bopped in the head and that pretty much ended it...
we used to have rock fights down on the edge of the Hudson in an abandoned building that was used to load box cars onto barges...pitch black in some spots and alot of large greasy gears to hide behind...stones were clanking all over the place

we also had the "moonie" box...it was a section of sidewalk that had a metal plate embedded in the concrete... if you were walking by with your friends and forgot and happened to step in the moonie box then they were able to give you a big kick in the ass...but only while you were in the box...

I've had a couple rock fights of my own. I once got hit and the knee and blood started running down my leg instantly. Then another time we had a rock war only we shot rocks at each other with hockey sticks. My friend then got hit with a rock on the side of his face and fell because he was startled. God everything is fun until you get hurt.

we used to pick off construction workers with a b b gun. right in the ass cheek. i dont know what was more fun... watching them dive for cover, or seeing them anxiously looking around for VC. THAT was fuckin hilarious.
