Worst TV Show Ever

What show or shows did you absolutely hate?

Scarecrow and Mrs King is high up on my list. Also Gimme a Break.

I know this one isn't really old school, but I hate it so much(And I'll probably get flamed big time for this): Sports Night.I FUCKING HATE THAT SHOW!!!(Not as much as X-pac but thats another topic)

That show fooled so many people into thinking it was some how intelligent, high brow comedy when in fact it just wasn't funny. Their entire theory behind dialouge was if we say everything fast enough they won't notice we are complete repetetive and unoriginal. Check out the repeats on Comedy central. Almost every line is given just in the follow ing manner:

Character one says a line as a statement.

Character two than repeatsthe exact same line back as a question.

Character one than repeats the same line back again as a statement.
Example:

John: I can't belive how much this writing sucks.

Mike: You can't believe how much this writing sucks?

John I can't believe how much this writing sucks.

THAT IS CRAP!!!!!
As an aspiring screenwriter, with a love for dialouge films, I take the craft seriously.

God damn I hate that show.

There was also a REALLY bad show that was on USA about a bunch of puppet aliens that meet up with a television writer..i think it was called Lost on Earth. It was part of the USA tries original TV after moderate success with Duckman (underrated cartoon satire that they moved to every timeslot they had) and Weird Science (Vanessa Angel still a knock out, show still funny) they tried other shows like Campus Cops, Weekly World News the series, Claude's Crib and Lost on Earth. Come to think of it Campus Cops was probably worse.

On the other hand you have to think about time when deciding this. The longer a show lasts the worse it becomes. If a show didn't have an original idea season 1, season 12 it's painful. Something like Full House fits in this category.

I liked the Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeifer...and next season they're getting Buffy (as well as the new Star Trek Series with the guy from Quantum Leap but Buffy is more reliable). Still it's crappy useless station if you can only think of 2 good shows out of 5 years one of which comes from another station and isn't even on yet.

2 shows I have to nominate, although no one probably remembers them, Johnny Mann's Stand Up and Cheer, and Hee Haw. They were terrible, my parents would watch them and me being a kid with only 1 tv in the house had to suffer the abuse of watching them also. 1st off, I despise Sports Night too ( I know I'm very late on that thought). The critics must have been as high as Aaron Sorkin. As for bad shows, there are so many: Herman's Head, Charlie Hoover ( the Sam Kinison sitcom), the MTV sketch show the State, Saturday Night Live With Howard Cosell, Animal House the tv series ( why?), the Fanelli Boys, Mama's Family, Aresenio Hall, Pat Sajack show, Thicke of the Night, the Chevy Chase show, and anything done by Aaron Spelling ( to name only a fraction of shit shows).

By far the worst show ever produced was SMALL WONDER. It is actually hard to watch. The production values in my high scholl play were better than that piece of hot garbage.
THE NANNY- stupider than any other program. The Nanny is the reason other countries think all Americans are stupid.


SEX IN THE CITY- just plain awful. Maybe even worse than THE GILMORE GIRLS.... maybe.


Pretty much every reality show sucks the nuts.

And lastly...it wasn't a series but, THE STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL was an absolute disaster. I want that time added back on to the end of my life. ugh.
