Bad Cologne and Aftershave Confessions

EVERY kid got bad cologne and aftershave back in the day. Hai-Karate, Brut, Old Spice, English Leather, you name it.
They made those crappy gift packs, and every Christmas somebody gave me one. Damn that "soap on a rope"! I was 13 and I smelled like an old man with that crap. ESPECIALLY Old Spice, the choice for Grandfathers everywhere.

WOW I had gotten the same thing when I was a kid...I dumped out the cologne and played with the car. I also remember some cologne that came in the shape of a horse, screw off its head and pour.
Who needs that stuff when your eight years old?

I think the problem with ANY aftershave is NOT TO BATHE IN IT!

I don't have a problem smelling the scent you happen to like, I just don't want to be ATTACKED by it.

And I LOVE Stetson Country.

Man, I just had a good laugh remembering the old Hai-Karate commercials from the 70's!

The Old Spice Gift Set was the old standby when you had no idea what to get Dad for Father's Day as a kid. I don't think he ever used any of the crap in the set, but graciously accepted it year after year.

I have never used any type of after shave, and use cologne very rarely.

this friend of my bf wears the worst cologne I've ever smelled.. and yes he is also one who 'bathes' in it. And we keep telling him that he smells horrible, but some girl gave the cologne to him as a gift so he just won't stop wearing it.. ughh.. and I think he doesn't smells it himself..

Great commercial, where that geeky Ernie Douglas lookin guy was breaking stuff in his apartment while his hot date looked on. I never used Hai Karate, I just loved Brut because Joe Namath endorsed it.
