Thanks Fallon!
There was a place in Sea Girt, NJ called The Circus (i believe). I think that might count as a drive-in.

Well the one in Sea Girt is an old school 50's style drive in hamburger stand, which is more rare than drive in theaters in my book, which I think is what you seek. There is one right off Route 94 in Warwick NY that runs through November, and has first run double features every night, radio simulcast and is an all around great place. About 2 miles over the Jersey border, somewhat near Vernon Valley Ski area.
Then there is another, again just over the border, in Pennslyvania. I can't place the town or name or what road it's on, but if yout take Route 23 past high point, and then drive south along the Deleware on the Pennsylvania side, you can't miss it.

I grew up just over the border from the Warwick Drive-in in Vernon, NJ. Many a night was spent there after first stopping at Stan's Liquor's, conveniently located in the shopping center near the drive-in entrance. Most nights the drink of choice was Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill. But if you really wanted to impress your lady, you went for the Riunite. As the commercial said: "Ruinite on ice...that's nice." Screw top and a massive headache...

I went to one right over the NY border one night. Can't remember where, but I drove through West Milford for like 30 minutes, wound up in NY, and it was like 2 minutes from there.
I saw Gladiator, and it was SO BAD I drove out of there without a refund. I COULDN'T GET AWAY FAST ENOUGH!!!!!

It's actually in Warwick,NY.The intersection of Rt 94 and the Warwick Turnpike. If you are in the Mahopac vicinity, take Rt6 west to Rt 17,take Rt 94 south approx
20 miles/15 mins.Make a left onto Warwick Pike.
They also have a playground.

Ummm...yeah: stupid me -- I thought this thread was about "drive-in restaurants" not "drive-in movie theaters".
So, to answer the original question, here's a previous thread. Sorry about that.

I got stuck in the mud in the Warwick drive-in. In my younger unit we used to pile a bunch of us in the trunk and snuck in. Also, we snuck in the old Paramus NJ drive-in and got caught. The security or whoever started chasing us around the lot. The old speaker on the pole fell to the ground. It was so funny at the time. I miss drive-ins!CYA

You are correct. Its stil there and from what I can see when driving past it looks to be in pretty good shape. The last time I was at a drive in was in PA and I was watching Superman III.

Moe, Gladiator must be the kind of flick you don't see at a drive-in because that had something for everybody.
