Which Relationships are closer: Friends or Family??

I say FRIENDS.

You HAVE to deal with your family, but you can pick and choose your close friends, so I think those are much closer relationships. You don't just SETTLE on what you may not like. You can choose to drop friends. You always kinda HAVE to be nice to your fam.

Well, although it's true that u wont neccesarily like everyone in your family, I think that family has the potential for a closer relationship than a friend, or even a lover. There is a 6 year differencee between my brother and me and we live 4 hours apart. We both have guys we call our best friends. BUT we have developed a fantastic friendship that will never die due to the fact that we are related. We share blood and dna, etc. We finish eachothers sentences. Before I start to ramble (too late?), I think the best friend u may ever have is somewhere in your family.

depending on how you feel about your family. I mena I love my friends... I kinda do consider them familia... but they are a degree lower than my imidiate family... love my family

yeah, my family has an unconditional love that is almost impossible to find in a friend. but that said, i tend to be more affectionate with my friends and maybe spend more time with them than i do with my family, so it's hard to explain.

The girl I was seeing was getting jealous that I'm so close with my nephew. Anytime I couldn't hang out with her because I was going to watch my nephew she would get all snippy with me. I told her that she is not going to win a competition against my nephew if she pushed the issue. My nephew is just happy to see me anytime I'm up at my sister's house.

I'm sure if I find "the one" I'd feel differently though.

Great point. I think my relationship with the board is closer then the one with my mom, bro, and sis. but its about equal if not a lil' less then with my friends.
