Unlike the multiplex bunkers of today, going to the movies back in the day was a great time.
Double features.
Cartoons before the movie started.
Huge theaters, huge screens.
Balcony seats.
Fat old Matrons in white uniforms patrolling the kiddie matinees.
NO COMMERCIALS!

I saw Superman and Love at First Bite for $2. I had to walk 5 miles in the snow and all I had to drink was a cup of coffee for a nickle, but hey!

Going to the movies is still fun. I wish I could have seen those old school movie theathers. These prices are to much now.

Its pretty cold in here.......

I love the stadium seating that the new theaters have. Though I went to an old school one to see spiderman (again) for a buck. The place was an old dump, but if they fixed it up it would be beautiful.

The only cool old style movie theaters are the drive-IN's we used to sneak into one by us.. That was cool... Now it's a HOME DEPOT :(

I listen to much less WNEW than I used to!!!!

My folks used to take us to the drive in in their big old Country Squire station wagon. We'd be in our pj's withour pillows and blankets and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I remember seeing Jaws in the drive in,peeking over the back seat and popping back down during the scarey parts.

Heckler you forgot about being allowed to smoke in the movie theater. One side was smoking and one side was not. Midnight movies everyone was smoking something. LOL

Also as a kid I remember going to woolworths and buying candy and taking it into the theater.

Good Old School theaters had balconies.

You also forgot about shooting jujubees at people.

We want Ron and Fez live in DC.
