Have you guys noticed this? i was just watching Forrest Gump, and the part where forrest is on the tom snyder show with John Lennon they start quoteing "Imagine"!! they sitting there and forrest says:

"in the land of china they dont have hardly nothing"

to which lennon and snyder respond:

JL: "imagine no possesions, no religeion too"
TS: "its hard to imagine"
JL: "its easy if you try"

is that really cool???????????

Am I the only person that hated "Forrest Gump"? I felt like I was watching a cinematic Hallmark card. That, and the fact it robbed "Pulp Fiction" at that year's Oscars makes it evil.

And those enhanced lips on the famous people supposedly talking to Forrest look like ass. I believe the lips superimposed over still photos that Conan O'Brian uses over that flick...

I just watched it on HBO also and picked up the same thing. I never picked up on that before. The mouths moving look like crap now, they do a better job on that Baby Bob show now. The ping pong has held up though. Also, I just realized that Forrest Jr. is Haley Joel Osment. <P>

I can't help but be a stickler about that scene: "Imagine" came out in 1971 and relations with China didn't improve until the Nixon visit of 1972 so I don't think there were any visits by athletes until '72 or later.
