Oh boy, Guns And Roses Set to tour

Following their high-profile performance at the Rock In Rio festival, Guns N' Roses have announced their first tour in seven years, kicking off with European dates in June.

On New Year's Eve, Axl Rose and crew played their first American show in seven years at the Las Vegas House Of Blues, readying themselves from the huge spectacle of the Brazilian festival.

In an added treat for German fans, nu-metal behemoths, Limp Bizkit, will join the band for their Nuremberg and Nurburgring dates.

The dates so far announced are as follows:

June 1 - Rock IM Park, Nuremberg, Germany
June 3 - Rom Am Ring, Nurburgring, Germany
June 5 - Waldbuhne, Berlin, Germany

June 17 Jammin Festival, Imola, Italy

June 23 Gelredome, Arnhem, Holland

Calling this current incarnation "Guns and Roses" is akin to Mick Jagger calling his solo projects "The Rolling Stones."

Buckethead is just Buckethead. He used to just play with a KFC bucket OVER his head, but now he's got scratch so he wears that as a hat with a mask. It's a mystery who he is...well, to some...I've known him mostly for the work he's done with hip-hop/freeform acts like Ozomatli, and he shows up on a lot of turntablist albums, doing hip-hop/rock fusion stuff. And I don't mean this nu-metal shit, I mean a true merger between the genres...he's pretty phenomenal, but in a really soulless, technical kinda way.

why can't Axl have GNR without any of the original members? the last time i checked he formed the band back in the day, came up with the name, own's the rights to the name etc. .. and, most importantly, GNR was always his vision from the start. He'd be stupid not to use the name. Should he also not have the new lineup play the old stuff? that tool David Lee Roth goes out on tour and plays nothing but songs Eddie wrote. At least Axl was a huge part of GNR's songwriting. <P>
