He takes the award from Christina, which
surprisingly he was cordial to her, then calls Moby a
girl and tells the crowd to keep booing him. He's got
balls, that's too fuckin funny, I'm glad there are
people out there who don't give a fuck what others
think of them.

I think it's about time for him to come out with a song saying that he's controversial, that everyone hates him, and how he doesn't care...cause none of his songs are like that.

No wait, ALL OF THEM ARE!

Of course HHH, the MONTH in the expression Flavor of the MONTH is NOT ALWAYS a Month, but this is his BIG media push.

I remember some of his hits off his first album, but THIS push is 4 times what it was, and he has a movie. This is his time to shine or die.

He very well may stick around after this, but I don't think he will. Only time will tell.

Balls over WHAT? He picks only on people who can't or won't fight back. Moby has done nothing to further this little shtick of his. Eminem just jumps on him because anyone else would whup his ass. Moby just keeps on doing whatever the hell he does and doesn't bother diving in. Eminem can't even take a plastic dog busting his chops. Plus he can't even acknowledge the CROWD booing him, he still has to blame Moby.

What a blonde-haird girl of a man. Ooooooh, boy bands and pop-tarts are boring? How DARING of you, Eminem!!! What a waste of MC talent, because damned if he doesn't have it. But he's got to stop pretending to be mad at everything. It's absurd.

In the time honored hip-hop tradition, Eminem and Everlast traded lyrical barbs on their albums. Rappers have been doing it since the inception of the genre, it's not about fighting, it's about flow. He attacks Moby because for about 6 months whenever Moby was interviewed he felt the need to run down Eminem. He would get a soulful look, all doe-eyed, and say things like, "I find music that attacks people based on their sexuality offensive and deeply, deeply disturbing." Yeah well I find people who feel the need to try and tell me what is or isn't appropriate deeply, deeply fucking disturbing. Eminem is a poet and a legitimate voice in the current music scene.

He attacks Moby because for about 6 months whenever Moby was interviewed he felt the need to run down Eminem.

Actually, Moby only brought up the fact that he disagreed with Eminem's lyrics the night of the Grammies, where he stood out because everyone else was lining up like a line of seals to tug on Eminem's wang. He also went on to say that he though Eminem was very talented, and it was too bad he wasted his talent on such hateful lyrics.

Oh, and then he wore a "I Heart Eminem" t-shirt on SNL. Yeah, SO scandalous. Eminem is just the wussy little kid that finds the kids even wussier than him to pick on just so he can hang with the "cool" crowd.

And this is worth messing up your own songs and awards shows over?

Personally, I like Eminem...I have his first two albums, and the stuff he laid down with The High & Mighty, with Sway & King Tech and on Soundbombing was phenomenal, but now he just plays it safe and picks on the easiest target.

This little "game" of his has nothing to do with the time-honored tradition of battling. It's him picking on a guy who couldn't give a shit what this impotent little troll does, and it got real old real fast. But the second he gets dissed and essentially challenged by a rapper who smokes other MC's live (Though his albums have been among the worst hip-hop put to wax), Canibus, Em stays quiet. 'Til he steps up to other battlin' MC's like Nas, Jay-Z, KRS-One or even LL Cool J, Eminem is just wasting his desire to antagonize other people. Shit, kick his ass back to Blaz Battle or the Rap Olympics or SOMETHING, because he's spinning his wheels so fast he's almost six feet under.

Uhhhhh . . . touche.
Look, this is the way I see it. I like Eminem, I think he's extremely talented. At times he can get, a little too much even for himself, but that doesn't take away from his talent. His albums, IMHO, have gotten better and better. As far as Moby is concerned, he is a self-righteous prick. His music is above average, I guess, but I just can't stand to hear him talk. Anyone who blasts him is A-OK in my book.

Too true. Moby thinks he's like the "God of the Ravers"...but threatening to kick his ass is just redundant. Stephen Hawking could kick Moby's ass.

That's the most frustrating part, is that he can actually drop a decent flow, but he wastes it on all this "anger management" shit. Which was fun when he was mad about things that other people could relate to, like being picked on in school, working shitty jobs, parent(s) getting down on you...now it's all specific, against his wife or mom, people that none of us know or really give a shit about. Go cry to a shrink instead of dumping it on a million albums. And why does he always say that MTV's trying to keep him anywhere? It's clear they've been surgically attached to his jock for at least a few years now.

Same goes for Jay-Z...great MC, but he's too hung up on bragging about how he's the richest man in NYC. Like I wanna hear that shit when I can barely afford to make rent each month! Get back to writing something real, deek...

when eminem first came out i didnt like him. in fact i couldnt stand him. i thought his first album was garbage and he was just a white boy getting a push into the hip-hop game.

I WAS WRONG!!!!

screw what his views are he has a right to say them.
plus im sorry but i didnt hear any other ppl dissing britney, christina, or nstync, when he started. and no one can battle like him. he destroyed everlast, ICP, jermaine dupri, canibus, and limp bizkit.

not to say some of his songs arent monotonous they are. but hey he makes me laugh on a consistant basis. thats more than most famous people can say.

Em is a great talent. his flow is only matched by some of the top underground artist. his rhyme schemes are sick and his wordplay is amazing. i could give a shit if he raps about moby, just as long as he does it well, which he does. plus i dont want to see a cannibus vs em, since cuntibus has all his rhymes written for him, but no one talks about that.

Damn right, there wasn't anybody...EXCEPT EVERYONE ON THE GODDAMN PLANET THAT DOESN'T WATCH TRL. I don't need this caucasian muppet to tell me what everyone above the age of 12 knew already.

And he's yet to battle Canibus in any way shape or form. Limp Bizkit? ICP? Everlast? Please. If the guy from C&C Music Factory didn't smoke them in a battle I'd be shocked. Eminem, like all other major pop stars of today, appeal to the basest, most simple denominators to get attention. He went from being provacative, intelligent and inflammatory to just bitter, simplistic and, worst of all, a crybaby.

Until I see him go mic-to-mic with MC Serch or El-P, he is NOT the best white rapper to hit the scene.

I like eminem and he is one of my favorite rappers. But hes definetly going downhill, hes turning into a POPULAR PEOPLE artist. A lot of the people that like him also like Britney and everyone. Eminem is now popular so he is getting the same fans as teh boy bands and girls who don't know what they like. SO eminem better do something or hes screwed. he can't go around saying that shit and then have ever little teenage girl screaming for him. Fuck You Eminem, you're the hypocrit. You used to be a great rapper, now you're a shitty popular #1 TRL singer.

MTV Edits Out The Audience Booing Eminem??
I am - Hercules!!

"Keep Booin'!" implored Eminem as the live MTV Video Music Award audience greeted with catcalls his threats to smack Moby. Perhaps he meant to add, "Keep booin', MTV's gonna cut it all it out!"

We haven't watched any of the many repeats of this year's VMAs (it's a very long show), but "Mrs. Eszterhaus" writes:

I caught the live version of the MTV VMA earlier this week. Couldn't say enought good things about the production of the show (24fps video looked great). Like most of the audience, I was shocked at the near erruption of violence between Moby, Eminem and Triumph The Dog. It, of course, became a hot topice of conversation the next day. However, when I was surfing around tonight and caught a few minutes of the re-broadcast, I was angered to see that the entire incident was edited out. All of Eminem's tough talk, the boos from the audience and his threat to hit Moby was gone. For me, this seemed like a real cop out. Did Eminem realize that he looked like an ass for picking a fight while he was receiving an award and pressure MTV to cut it out? In any case, it speaks volumes about the true nature of MTVs mission and the integrity with which they apply their trade. It is a big disapointment. MTV shouldn't be allowed to slide on this one. They openly claim to be about the fans... this was a moment that the fans should get to see... they, for whatever reason, erased it. Very, very, lame.

Is there any truth to this? I saw it on AICN...
