The Pinball of the Dead for GBA review.

MAN! What a cool ass game! It's a pinbal game for the Gameboy Advanced based on The House of the Dead shooting arcade game.

I bought it at the same time as Super Mario Sunshine, and I've been playing Pinball A LOT more!

It's so cool! Little zombies run around the machine as you play! Lot's of undead and some bosses too! Half decayed corpses pop up at every turn! And 3 different machines to choose from! I mean, they're each similar, but it's still 3 different machines. Big undead heads. Hidden effects, and GORY SHIT!!

I say, if you have a GBA, like pinball, and LOVE old zombie movies, then this is GREAT! Even if you don't really dig horror flicks, it's still a fun game.

Real quick Knicks. If you ONLY have 2 games, the Mario Worlds are a great blast from the past, Doom is great for it, Golden Sun is visually stunning for a Gameboy screen, and there are MANY collections of old retro games coming out. I have the one with Rush n' Attack and Frogger on it. I like it.

Oh, and Final Fight One rulz too!

I agree with Moe. Pinball of the Dead kicks ass. One thing though, I'm having trouble getting through all 3 boards in succession. Lining up shots in some of those corner pockets is tough. All in all, the game is great. It sounds wicked through headphones.

Moe, get Advance Wars, best strat game out for the GBA. I love it, but the again, i love all strategy games.

OK Reed, I'll go Advanced Wars this week. I love all types of games. And I have heard a lot of good things about Wars.

And yes, bossjimbob, it is a little hard getting some shots. But at least it's not one of these REALLY EASY games I buy, and beat in 1 days. I hate overly challenging games, but a little challenge is OK with Death Metal Moe.

I agree with you Moe. I like a little challenge, but I hate those games that are so difficult they are impossible to finish without cheating on. I've had Bionic Commando for GBC for like 2 years. To this day I have not finished it. I'll get so far, only to get aced by the a-hole boss at the end of the level. I'll pick it up a few months later and finally pass that level, only to get shafted 2 boards down in the same situation. Argh!!!

What other GBA games are good? I only have the Pinball one. :(

As for other games, I listed a few above to another poster, but here goes.

I really like Golden Sun. It's a role player. with amazing graphics for the small screen.

Advanced Wars I DON'T oen yet, but I have head A LOT of heat about this one.

Final Fight ONE is a remake of the old FInal Fight arcade, and home consel game. LOVE IT!

Street Fighter Revival is lots of the cool old guys on the GBA. AND! THere's a cheat mode where you can pull off moves in one or 2 button combos! CHEAT IT UP!

And here's alist of a few other with no review cause my fingers are getting tired

Warioland, all the Super Mario World remakes you can find, Castlevania, ALL retro gamepacks, like atari and others, and lastly, DOOM!!!!

Thanks Moe, I've got Golden Sun and was suprised that i liked it because i HATe RPG's. I also have Mario Kart which is also nice. I have and have beat Both mario worlds for SNES so i won't get that. But I was wondering about Circle of the Moon. The new one thats not out yet, or i don't think it is. Got great reviews from EGM so i was wondering hwo good it is.

Well Knicks, it's a great game. It's all in one huge castle, with networks of corridors which make up a lot of different areas, so it's like different boards, but you can go back to old ones.

You actually progress like a RPG at times, and you are always finding these cards that give you attributes you use against bosses.

My ONLY problem with it is that it's REALLY DARK. And since GBA isn't backlit, you need a FUCKING SPOT LIGHT to see it well sometimes. Castlevania is a dark world anyway.

But I say check it out.

Also, I'm getting A LOT better at Pinball of the Dead, and it's STILL A GREAT GAME!!!!
