These "old guys" you refer to were some of the best wrestlers who paved the way for today's stars. Both Flair and Hogan realize their time is up and are now "putting over" wrestlers such as Lesnar, jericho, and "passing the torch" to guys like hhh and the rock.

The "old dude" you were referring to on raw was "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, one of the first highflyers in the WWF. Back then, there were no rvds or jeff hardys, there was snuka and he was great and is a legend.

Sometimes a match can be famous and wrestlers can get a push no matter who wins. Yeah Flair won at summerslam but if you've been watching in recent months, he's lost to austin, hogan & undertaker early in the year and he's lost to lesnar and the rock recently. Also, in matches lately he has been on the receiving end of a lot of moves instead of him delivering and controlling matches like the Ric Flair of old. If the flair/jericho feud continues and leads to another match, it is likely jericho will win.<P> <P> <P>
