I watched wrestling when I was a kid, but stopped and have never really gotten into it since then. Recently, I've found myself with a lot of time on my hands. If I were to start watching wrestling, what would be a good way to go about it? I feel like I'm missing some machismo in my life.

Great idea. You can start tonight by watching Raw on TNN at 9. SmackDown!(the better brand) is on thursdays at 8 on UPN.

Go To WWE.COMfor the schedule and roster , and just look in here and after a week or so you should pick it up just fine.

The Al Dukes Fan....

If you want to get into wrestling, the best way to do that is for you to attend independent shows.
Seeing how u from NJ they have lost of independent shows out there.

It would be good to start watching now. Wrestling was in a big boring slum. Now its starting to get alot better.

Its pretty cold in here.......

Raw is better Knicks, it lets some of the lesser pushed guys get some airtime(sans The Game and Undertaker). RVD would get crushed everynight on Smackdown because only the guys that first get famous in the WWE get to be on top there

I'm afraid you're wrong. Raw is in NO WAY better than SmackDown!. Look at tonight a horrible main event on a show with a absolutetly shitty matches-Bubba/Spike vs. regal/nowinski. Some stupid evening gown match. The only good match of the night was RVD Tommy Dreamer Match. The wrestling is better on SmackDown! and the last couple of months Raw hasn't even done good at what their supose to do-pump the storylines. Speaking of what you said, what show has more rookies? Definetly SmackDown!-John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, Shannon Moore just to name a few. No Raw has a certain style of wrestling consisting consisting of brawlers and SmackDown! has more of a technical style for the most part. So no its not if you're on the top that you'll be on SmackDown!, for the most of people its how you wrestle. I'll give you some examples Undertaker, HHH are two of the top wrestlers on Raw-both brawlers. They do have other styles with people Jericho(who should have stayed on smackdown for obvious reasons0 and high flyers like RVD and Jeff Hardy. Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero some top guys on SmackDown!-technical GOOD wrestlers. Young guys like Edge and new comer Rey are on smackdown yet you claim Raw is the place where those people are. Did you see the end of the cage match where all those guys-Cena, Edge, Rey came out and Tazz was saying their the Future of Smackdown? I don't think Taker really has a future, more like a year or so left. So i would like to know where you got this information you just threw out. Did you pick out of your ass of something?

Dave, if you want to actually try to give it a chance and not mock the board wrestling community check out Smackdown and or RAW.

Attending indy shows are a great way to get the feel of wrestling again but some people just like to watch the superstars (like Hogan, Undertaker, HBK). It depends on one's preference.

Here's a link to another thread that might help out.
