I am still being recognized as Joanie and probably will as long as "Happy Days" is playing on t.v. and remembered by Happy Days fans. From when i was a child i begun to work into Hollywood's world.I was born October 18 1960.In 1972 i got the role of Joanie in "Happy days". I got the part of Joanie in "Happy Days". I was twelve in the year 1972 when the first episode of Happy Days was filmed. As Joanie , i little by little , became one of the most popular child stars of America. One year later i left "Happy days" for the seventeen episodes of the HD spin-off "Joanie Loves Chachi" with Scott Baio!! After personal problems at the end of the 80's i was ending my first marriage to an abusive alcoholic man and in 1996 i had a very small part in the Garry Marshall's movie "Dear God" in which i played myself riding in a convertable car in the Hollywood Christmas parade. I am planning on writing a book about Happy Days and my acting experiences soon and certainly soon ill play in a new role and in a new show!!

When I joined this board, that name wouldn't fit, so I had to shorten it to 42nd-delay. I kinda like the abbreviation, though I'm not sure if people get the reference when it's spelled that way. Of course, I'm not even sure the delay is 40 seconds anymore (I seem to remember Opie mentioning it being that length once).

OK, here we go.

When I first started using the 'net, I used the name Zodiac, because I had a fascination with serial killers. Dark and depressing, I know, I was young then.

I was into the Police (the band), so I changed the nick again to "Zenyatta", after the album Zenyatta Mondatta.

While playing an old Star Wars flight sim game, I changed my nick to ZenWedge, an abbreviation of Zenyatta and Wedge Antilles.

THe name was changed to ZenWrath after multiple viewings of the movie "Seven" and tying back into the serial killer thing.

I finally wanted something totally unique, so as I studied Japanese, I learned that the word for "Wrath of God" in Japanese is "Tenbatsu". Since "God" has multiple and variable meanings in Japanese, and the last name precedes the first name in introducing someones name, it's... Tenbatsu Zen.

Or Tenbatsuzen. Whatever. :)

I didnt really think id be a character or that I was choosing a permanent name or anything. This is the short story of how I got Ag1247.
Back a while ago, when I was just getting to know the interent. I was using AOL and I was in a chat room using his SN. I think I got board and Decided to make up my own SN. So I went to the AOL page, and made up the name ag1247 for AIM. Now like many people ask me, what the fuck does the 1247 stand for? is it a given AOL name? Is that some type of date? Nope, none of that. Its just a random number that I made up. But ever since the Halloween bar crawl, when I came dressed as black earl from the future, people keep telling me I should change my Name to that. Well, Yes and No. I still want to keep the name AG1247, But I want "Black Earl From The Future underneath Ag1247. There, thats the long boring story of how I became Ag1247.

Mine was actually given to me when I was a teenage radio show crank caller. I called just about every radio show in the NYC area, would talk like a normal person, and then go off the deep end, usually finishing off with a huge BURP. Burping was fun because there was NO burping going on on the radio at the time. Howard Stern wasn't even around yet. After I became a notorious pain in the ass to many radio shows, someone finally said "Oh. It was the BELCHER again..." and soon it took. The Belcher. Other crank callers began going hog wild hearing what I was getting away with past the call screeners, and began calling themselves and belching. Soon, crank callers were generally known as "those Belchers". There's a call on my website attesting to this ridiculous story. So, since I STILL crank call radio shows, and since I put up a website this year, I thought I'd use the name all over again, even though I hate it.

Early on in high school, a friend of mine stole one of our classmates Commadore 64, floppy-disk games. There was a high-score name called 'smokin' errole.' I was so obsessed as to why the hell someone would use a name like that. The obsession led to my friends actually nicknaming me this mysterious erole name. The named died off within a year.

Time passed, about 2 years of it. I started dating this girl in my class (she was the SAME age as me, OK!) I liked her because she was so bubbly, happy, and full of life. My friends thought she acted like a 12 year old. Well, the name erole came back. This time I was named after the old actor Errol Flynn. Apparently Mr. Flynn had a taste for illegal companionship with young girls. Hence the name.

Well, it's obvious that wilee is a contraction of Wile E. as in the coyote pictured in my sig. A few years ago, I was working with a non-profit organization (still am) and got elected to be the head of it for a few years. I was always told that I would work at something until it was right, or succeeded. One day I was watching TV and came across a Wile E. (yes I give him top billing) cartoon, and watched, thinking to myself, "Hey, he keeps working at the task until he succeeds too (some actually call that an obsession).

I found I identified with him, so I adopted him as a "mascot". I even gave out pewter Wile E. head pins to my officers when I turned the reins over. Someone stole mine when my car got broken into, but he's still my mascot- and my board name.

This girl that I was friends with came in one day and told me that "it's brick jesus cold today". I later found out that "Brick Jesus" is a slang term for really, really cold. As a webmaster I ran a site once called "Rowelentless archive" that was a depository of hot teen chicks. Alas I grew up and moved on.

minimaltastik - it's basicly a play on the word "minimal".
In this case it is a reference to minimal techno. Minimal techno is a style of music that while often viewed as painfully simple and repetitive, is supprisingly complex and powerful. It's beauty lies in the fact that the complex patterns and extremely subtle changes are layered and combined in such a way, that to one who is well versed in such arts, even the most *minimal* changes in the equation will bring about an entirely new sound. Thus creating a nearly "chaotic" system from a seemingly elemental one.

I've told this a few times either in other threads, or at board events, but here goes the origin of the Reefdweller.

A couple of years ago there was a little show on WNEW that came on prior to Ron and Fez's radio program. It was called the Opie and Anthony show. During one of their shows Opie and Anthony (or "O&A" as those who listened to them called them) were having a squabble with management and some other radio program(s), so in a fit of fury O&A referred to themselves as "The Island" because they felt that they were all alone at the station. That is aside from Ron and Fez.

Later one night after an intense on air fight between O&A and another radio show the Ron and Fez show began and during that program they referred to themselves as "The Reef". As in the the reef to "The Island". It was at that time that I was looking for a board name for myself after much lurking around on the board. I had called into the show that night and decided I would call myself "Reefdweller", since Ron and Fez were "The Reef".

Mine is in homage to my favorite plane. It was designed in the early 60's and approved under Kennedy and built by Kelly Johnson of Lockheed's SkunkWorks. Despite the fact that the plane is now 40 years old, it still is very cool looking and remains one of the fastest planes ever built. It was used a spyplane and it would fly so high and fast that it was out of the range of most missiles. As satelites became better effective and the resolution of their cameras increased, the plane bacame too costly to keep operational and it was retired a few years ago. There are still a few used by Nasa as test beds. The whole story impressed me when I was growing up and I decided to use the name as my board name.

I'm going to follow Amy's cue and explain my AIM SN (since it's different and got a neat little story). When I was in LA I was out with a group of friends. One had ordered a Pibb Xtra (tastes like Mr. Pibb, don't know what makes it so Xtra). Anyway, he refilled it and left it in his car. Later we met up with some other friends including this homophobic asshole named Mike. Of course, due to his paranoid fear of gay men, we happily called him "fag" all night. It didn't hurt that he'd just dyed his hair that day and gotten a manicure. Later on as we were heading home, he was stopped next to us at a traffic light, opens up his window and sprays his Axe deodorant in our direction. So my friend grabs his warmed over cup of Pibb Xtra and hands it to his girlfriend riding shotgun, but the light turned green. So she hands it to me. I open up my window and despite us moving at about 40 mph I take aim at Mike's open window and toss the cup. Miraculously the cup tags Mike upside down on the back of his neck.

So, anyway, due to my prowess with the soda cup, my AIM SN is PibbxSniper.

Aftermath of that story, Mike did some really shitty things to my friends (he was after my buddy's girlfriend) and he no longer is part of the group.

curtoid - 11th grade science class, for whatever reason, everyone added "oid" to their names. For whatever reason, mine stuck. When I got to college, I adopted the nick when I did a radio show, and later when I got online it seemed the easiest one to go to. Few people these days ever call me "curtoid" though, but I am more comfortable with that than hearing "KOP"...

KOP - The initials and the name ("King Of Pain") were actually from a nick name a friend of mine used for himself online that I completely co-opted (I rationalized that he will never be on any DC area radio show message boards and I was safe to use it). Aside from thinking it looked cool written down, because it really had no real connection to me I felt comfortable usinig it in a forum where I never imagined I would meet the people I was talking with.

When I began meeting people though, at various R&F events, I felt really stupid for using the name, which is why I decided to drop it.

Oddly enough, the day I switched from KOP to Curtoid on the board was the first day I ever went into the studio - Wonderboy still thinks, I believe, that he is the reason I changed my name, because he "outed" me at the hockey game. Anyway, since they only knew me as KOP, I decided not to change it when I'm in there with them (since I am in so infrequently, it really doesn't matter, I realized). I had my chance more than once to become "curtoid" on the air, but just decided to keep "KOP" alive.

The couple of times I've been mentioned on "The Hideout," however, they call me "curtoid."

Horribly confusing.

And I tried to swat the fly, but it was out of reach.

And I hurt my knee.

And that seemed like a deep thought or something so I pondered that here I am, a human being with a big ol' brain, but I'm way down here while that dumb ol' fly is way up there.

And that fly looked like he was a-having fun.

And I thought about the scene some more and what it would look like to someone else.

I was low.
The fly was high.
And I kept thinking that.
Thinking that I was low.
And thinking that the fly was high.

At the same time.
And I sat there thinking about it.
And I thought about it some more and tied my shoe because the laces were a little loose.
And I looked up at the fly.

And I was still low, because I had not gotten up yet.

When I was standing up, I wasn't low, but kinda medium, you know?
But now, sitting on the floor, I wasn't medium, hehheh heh, not to mention high.

And about then the sun came out because it was behind a cloud.
The sun was on that side of the house, so when it came out, I could see it and the light came in the room.
And the light came in while I was still down low and the fly was up high.
And I was thinking about me being low while the fly was high when the sun came out.
So I was also trying to think of a screen name, too.
So with the light from the sun, I thought it was like a sign or something.
So I had to think about what the sign could be.
Maybe it was so I wouldn't try to swat flies any more.
Or maybe it was for not standing on chairs to try to swat flies.
Or maybe it was to help me get a screen name, like "sunbeam."
Or "cloudnomore."
Or "flylight."
or "sunonmelow".
Or "getbackup."
Or something.
So I thought about it some more and my knee was feeling better so I got back up and sat on the chair.
And I was thinking about a screen name and the fly was still buzzing and the light was still coming through the window and my knee was ok.
So I looked up again and was thinking about a screen name and my knee and I saw the fly up high and I decided that maybe I would go with "high fly."

After High School, I lived in California and did some really REALLY low budget adult films. To be all "up" for the filming we would have these girls on the set called fluffers who would ready us and do the job and give us a hand.
