What about Joanna Louden (Mary Frann), on "Newhart"? Legend has it, that her character wore a sweater in every episode of the show, for the entire 8 years the show was on. And they were great 80's sweaters-nothing but sequins and shoulder pads.

Sidebar on him: saw him a couple of years ago at a gelato place here in Jersey. Spent the whole time screaming at his kids and made them eat their ice cream outside in the 40 degree weather when they dripped on the leather in his Caddy. It was hilarious, but I guess you had to be there.
