Think about it. When you swim in the ocean, and I mean swim in deep water, the idea of a shark attack is always in your head, or at least it is in mine. Not "Flipper", not "Orca"..but sharks!

See now, a movie like Jaws, as much as I love it, is not the type of movie that I rank anywhere near the scariest movie of all time. I mean, its got a couple of good jumps; spots where you jump in surprise, but once the movie is over, I'm not scared anymore. Now Piranah II the spawning on the other hand... I mean those little bastards could fly!
To me, one of the scariest movies of all time is Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. I'm much more scared of a guy I could meet just walkin down the street in anytown USA then I am of a shark. Just my opinion.

Halloween still scares me to death. Something about that mask that he wore that really freaked me out. And the music is still bone chilling!

Jaws? Aliens?
You guys are killin me. None of the above mentioned movies hold a candle to The Excorcist, that movie was just friggin insane.

The fact that the Exorcist was loosely based on a true story is pretty creepy. But Henry scares me more. Take this fact the government says that there is at least 50 serial killers in the country now that they know absolutely nothing about.

Of course The Exorcist!...and what about The Shining too?!

Steel Magnolias was the scariest movie ever. I felt like I was trapped in an infinite time loop where every second was slowed to a unit so long it was impossible to measure or even detect. It didn't even have any explosions or gratuitious nudity

Halloween was great there were a lot of jumps in that movie.
Jaws was excellent great story good jumps and the reality factor of getting bit by a shark is there. (alright maybe not as big but still a reality)
Texas was scary because that shit really happened down in Texas. The scene when they are eating dinner is great. "GO GET GRANDPA".
We did forget two OLD SCHOOL CLASSICS though.
Night of the Living Dead and The Birds.
I still hate birds and as a kid cemetaries freaked me out.

A bird flew into my bathroom window the other day while I was in the shower, and it was pretty damn scary, so that's proof! :)
